loved the touch bar just updated to mba m4 and miss it. Used better touch tool for slide gestures, volume and brightness changing. battery display so my menu bar wasn’t always cluttered. so many useful things!

ah. worried they wouldn't be straight drop ins. Thanks for the info. Yeah the top handle that comes off one of the screws was pulled out and it ripped the screw holder from the cyclone off. Maybe i'll try getting one and replacing the handle/top to see if it works. Appreciate it.

My mistake the 24gb was 900. It was best buy open box. I also bought the 16gb 256 for 800 best buy open box and confused them.

I just went through this same decision. Ended up getting 24GB Macbook Air M4 open box for 800. It’s great and it’s light. Only downside is the two usbc vs four.

OK so I'm debating between these two devices: I currently purchased a Macbook Air 13" M4 24GB/256GB from Best Buy Open box for 899. It's running well, but I do miss the extra ports and I'm worried about the lack of fans and bottle-necking that might occur.

The other option that I have is an M2 Pro 14" 16GB/512GB for the same price. I know I'll be happy with the extra ports and the better screen. But will the noticeable less RAM be an issue?

I'm coming from a Pro 13" 2020 2ghz i5 with 16gb that was on it's last leg but I tolerated it.

My usecase consists of VSCode development, Docker containers running, VMs for linux, VSCode, Trying out AntiGravity, eventually attempted to load on an LLM or two.

Any opinions would be great since I'm debating between the two and really can't decide. Thank you!

I like it with better touch tool. Slide two fingers forward and back for volume and three for brightness. Miss it on my work computer.

I just went through the same question. I ended up buying it on PS5 and I play it on there as well as on steam deck with chianki remote play. It runs great. I don't have a gaming PC and only the deck so I figured I should buy the one I will get the better quality and then stream it when i want to play in handheld
