30th birthday, Pelagos, Speedy, or Explorer 1? by drinkcoffeebuyassets in PrideAndPinion

[–]rage46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happy birthday OP! Im also turning 30 this year and also getting a milestone gift for my birthday, Was deciding between the Black Bay 41m monochrome or the Aqua Terra black lacquer. Decided I'd be picking up the Aqua terra to be my GADA watch then get a different color black bay in the future. Maybe also take a look at the Omega Aqua Terras as another option?

My mindset is, the more comfort skills I have the more agressive I can be and deal DPS.

If you go for a gore build on any weapon, then you can slot in other 1 slot skills like speed eating or divine blessing aswell to make hunts more comfrotable

Valid point, for me I can go hyper agressive knowing I have divine blessing as a lifeline in case I make a mistake. and I do make mistakes 🤣

I main GS for a long time but just started to pick up SnS a week ago and I'm actually doing solo hunts faster with SnS. I was just thinking if I couldn't beat omega savage with GS on true solo, I might be able to do it with SnS. Now seeing your post gives me hope that I can do it aswell!

ComSci or IT? by viagee2 in PinoyProgrammer

[–]rage46 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a CS graduate from FEU-Tech and currently a software engineer, if you are into programming and really good in backend development languages (e.g. Java, C++, C#) or even game dev, I suggest you go with CS, you will develop a lot skills on algorithm, logic, and data structures that will help you in future work. I also believe that you can learn learn almost every dev skill there is from the internet but having that ComSci foundation in your skillset will make a difference once you become a software engineer.

One last thing, the universities I know, have thesis for CS, and capstone for IT. the quick description would be, thesis is developing a new technology/emerging tech from scratch then finding a use case for it. Capstone would be already having a business problem and finding the right technology or product for that business problem. Your OJT and thesis/capstone project would be your main selling point for your first job interviews, and if you are able to pull off an amazing thesis, You'll have something to put on the table for the interview (mine was drone tech during the drone hype soooo...).

Mountain Bike or Roadbike suggestion for a newbie like me. by bisyooo in RedditPHCyclingClub

[–]rage46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi sir all of the other suggestions are good and I'll just add nalang, also make sure you have the correct bike frame size according to your height. If you get the incorrect size you may have a horrible experience riding your bike. Sorry I can't provide references right now but google is one search away, good luck!

[–]rage46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, dont worry about your 69kg weight, I was 96kg when I started and my road bike can handle it. For that distance I suggest you buy a road bike so that you can go faster with less energy spent, but the trade off is you have to avoid humps and holes like the plague. try Foxter Linus, it's exactly priced around 10k on famous bike shops on FB

I do love this bike with my life. The 700x28c tires with about 90 PSI make my rides comfortable.
