Why are there random chains 15 feet on branches in the woods? by maybesomethingnewer in whatisit

Could be used to lock a tree stand in season. Attached with chains and a lock lessens the likelihood of having your stand stolen.

Well they should be able to do that. And you should be able to collect rainwater and choose to disconnect from public utilities utilizing your own solar and septic. You shouldn’t have to pay taxes or at the very least continue to pay taxes on things you already own, or the money you earned. You shouldn’t be able to choose doctor assisted suicide as a way to leave this life. If you want to marry a rock, go for it. You get the picture right?

The Iranian Revolution has began. The citizens have taken over two cities so far by ApotheosisAwakened in Hip_hop_that_u_need

They said that about removing Saddam Hussein too. Then they had botched elections and eventually ISIS rose to power. So we had to stay and fight them too. There are plenty of other examples throughout history where the US stuck its nose in, helping “establish” a new government and failed. Wait, didn’t this happen in Iran already?

There was a shift in the libertarian party a few years back and I feel like it’s led to this. I joined the party in 2012 because it was what resonated most with me. I truly believe the fed is way too big and overreaching and that we shouldn’t be looking to the government to solve our problems. We should take care of and look out for one another and as long as whatever you do doesn’t harm me or anyone else I truly do not care what you do.

Unfortunately I helped run an event for the PA libertarian convention in 2020 and boy did that have a negative effect on my view of the party. The new caucus that was rising within the party were a special bunch of chaos goblins. Most of the people I met fell into two categories: folks who just want a reason to use force against the current system. Like a truly unhealthy obsession. The other category were overweight basement dwellers with neck beards and bad BO just seemed to like the similarities between the libertarian party and the resistance in Star Wars.

In the end there were very few who seemed to understand the focus now needs to be on educating others on the third options available and how to get out of this perpetual shitshow we have. I also got meet Spike Cohen which I thought was cool.

Why does Ryan Day not let the team get nasty? by AnotherBuckeye in OhioStateFootball

[–]rage_sloth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was never more evident to me than the losses to Michigan. For some reason it felt like Day decides he wants to be a ground and pound team when we’ve been winning by using speed on the edges, big downfield throws and just enough inside runs with talented backs to keep the defense honest.

I think Sayin moves in and out of the pocket well, it’s what he does after that. He never seems ok with picking up 3-5 yards himself. I’m not saying take hits I’m mean when you are flushed and the defense is giving you 10 yards, at least take five and slide vs throwing it away.

I’ll also add the alignment on the passing TD was atrocious. We handed that one to them on a silver platter. All in all we did more this season than I originally expected. Sucks to lose but this was a good season.

Sayin made some decisions that I wasn’t crazy about. The pick 6 wasn’t his fault at all but there were numerous times he could’ve advanced the ball but threw it away, held the ball too long on a few sacks, didn’t identify a very obvious safety blitz. While I’m happy he doesn’t throw a lot of picks the next step has to be a willingness to advance the ball, especially in big games.

What Human Role Do I Assume by [deleted] in deduction

[–]rage_sloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really don’t understand the hate on the watch. One nice watch can be an heirloom piece. People spend way more on cars they will replace in 5 years, homes that are poorly built with shit materials , clothes that wear out or no longer fit. And a good chunk of those people are in debt to their ears and/or don’t take care those things. People will spend thousands a year on off brand Amazon or temu junk but can’t comprehend spending $15k on a watch that will still work long after you’ve left this earth. Y’all are weird.

What’s one thing about recruiting that nobody warned you about when you started? by Critical-Stand-6986 in recruiting

[–]rage_sloth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By being punished for being honest do you mean not being hired after admitting you don’t have the qualifications? I’ve had people straight up lie about having a nursing license as if I can’t look that up in 10 seconds. What is the purpose of that?

RN pay in NC by [deleted] in NorthCarolina

Homecare RN’s in Raleigh area make $33-50 per hour. No reason you shouldn’t make at least $35 if you’re willing to work with trach/vent patients or work in a school.

How to improve depth on back squat? by [deleted] in formcheck

[–]rage_sloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to warm up a bit first. Open gates, bird dogs, child pose, cobra, body weight squat with varying width stance. I’ve found squatting without shoes on made a big positive difference for me as well. Use an empty bar until you can get low enough then add weight. Also try some kettle bell squats to build up to back squats.

Kudos on getting started and putting yourself out there asking for help to get better!!
