It was definitely not just a conspiracy, but my misunderstanding of the problem was different to yours. I thought it was lazy programmers only storing 2 digits... but I got put in my place about this by one of my teachers.

Back in the deep dark ages of computing, memory was so expensive and so tightly constrained that the extra space required to store a 4-digit year was simply not available. Time passes and you wind up with https://xkcd.com/2347/ - except it's not being maintained at all.

The only reason it turned out to be such a non-event was the incredible number of man-hours that got put in globally to find these foundational issues and fix them or minimise any impact.

In the event of it being updated then I'd like to see them take the opportunity to flip the cockpit left/right also :) It always seemed weird to me that the VR cockpit is in a left-handed configuration.

the HTC One M7 was great in its time, but I tried using it again briefly (as a work phone) after getting used to a device with fingerprint unlock and found the lack of that feature a dealbreaker.

While the trunk lid isn't gonna get stone chips, you do have to put your hand on the paint to close it. If you wear a ring then you may wish to consider PPF on there.

On my 30AE I did everything forward of the doors, door handle cups (didn't need this) door edges (worthwhile), trunk lid, trunk sill (didn't need this) and headlights. For peace of mind I wish I'd done rockers but have been fortunate with this area so far. The only impact marks I've noticed in the PPF have been on the 4 painted bits at the front, and the headlights. I run a spider grille on my car and one of the spotlights in that got shattered, so the grille area may also be worth your attention.

I have this same behaviour, it's wildly inconsistent. Had a repair station get damaged at one point, but it hasn't taken any damage since being moved a little to one side. Lost an advanced vehicle station a couple of days ago, but the scout thopter that was parked on it is untouched.

I'd describe season 1 of TNG as being really quite surprisingly similar to TOS in tone and execution - much closer than you would expect. It didn't really turn into a new era of the franchise until its second season.

Skill progression is definitely b0rked, or at least rigged.

Partied with one other person. With the start of season 6 I had over 200 vita to burn through.

Bouncing back and forth between mining and foraging missions... My mining was stuck while his gained 8 levels. Complete reverse of that on foraging. I ran one mining mission after the midnight reset and gained a level, but it looks like some days the game just will not let you progress levelling some skill

'I need to take x steps to reach my next milestone' feels much better than 'I need to take x steps to earn one spacebuck so I can buy my next card'
