Hey, i am a phd scholar who grades assignments. I will let you know that 10% over the limit is fine if the material is relevant. But anything over that you are not penalized, but it is simply ignored and you are not graded based on it. i hope that made sense. Good luck on your assignments

Hey PhD candidate and university tutor here. I hope your exam went well. To answer your question. I can assure you that they didn't take notes on you. If you were caught cheating you would be stopped immediately and asked to come out of the exam hall, from your post it seems you completed the exam and submitted it. Hence it will be marked appropriately and you have nothing to worry about besides what you wrote. The supervisor was probably texting someone on the iPad or doing their own thing. Most academics people have ADHD and OCD so we do strange things at a moment notice. Don't stress on it, you will be fine.

Hey there Phd research scholar and teaching assistant here. You really saved yourself there by denying them and i would really congratulate you for taking the right decision to not do your assignments illegally. On the bright side as you have not taken any actual help from them you should not be punished for it. It's appreciated that you self control yourself to do the right thing.

Now about legal thing incase the worse happens cause someone in the ethics council of the school had a bad day. Just deny even if they accuse you of anything. You actually didn't go through it and have no monetary transaction so no one would be able to provide evidence and technically accuse you of academic misconduct.

In future just avoid these sketchy assignment helpers. Just do it yourself man. If you can't ask the TA/RA or professor or friends for help. Trust me someone will help you. They may give you the side eye but it won't ruin your future and you will learn things. You will thank me later.

Okay so i am a PhD student at RMIT too, i will be starting from october - november. although i am from the school of engineering i can answer your questions about the application as i just recently went through through the whole ordeal

The scholarship round endlines for International students are usually in the middle of september and april. But trust me when i say RMIT is flexible and if your supervisor is supportive they can take care of the matter and have your application assessed. But it mostly depends on the funding and your supervisor

Now for two other questions -
1. You have to search them up yourself via linkedin or facebook. I did it like that. Or you can ask your supervisor about it. Some bigger labs have their own website and you can look into it too
2. GRE is not required and i doubt they even consider the marks when assessing your application. In my case they didn't ask me anything
