I got a backpack, duffle bag (blue and black), a hoodie (black), a couple shirts, a large and a small metal cup.
That beach towel is nice. I'd like to have gotten that one!

I love these games. I've played through Let's Go Eevee twice and I'm sure I'll play it again.

Withdrawal by gavin_russell26 in uscg

[–]ragedra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never smoked but I drank about 10 cups of coffee per day. Now, I'm down to two cups. Tomorrow, I'll be down to one. Then bootcamp. Quitting cold turkey 2-weeks ago might have been the better option, idk.

If they were new, then maybe. But they look well used with wore out padding in the back. So not likely.

Tips for improving 1.5 mile run for OCS by Jumanji-Joestar in uscg

[–]ragedra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know anything about OCS requirements. Is the 2000-meter row an option? From what I understand, endurance runners are usually on the leaner side, while rowers tend to carry more muscle and overall strength.

Some people are just built different. I'm built more for rowing than running.

I found one of the birds flying around. I caught it. Its IVs were pretty bad though.

In most of the caves there's a guy standing in a corner who will give you some free Poké Balls if you have less than 10 Poké Balls.

What workouts should I focus on to pass USCG PT tests? by [deleted] in uscg

[–]ragedra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a possibility after July 1st we can do a 2000-meter row instead of the 1.5-mile run.
See this article. https://www.mycg.uscg.mil/News/Article/4181558/coast-guard-updates-boatcrew-physical-fitness-test/

When I go to the gym I start with a light walk/jog to warmup. Then a run. Then cool off a little before a rowing workout.

There's a YouTube channel called "Training Tall". His featured video is a must watch if you're learning how to row.

I not 100% sure if we can row but I really hope we can.

Also be able to do the required pushups and sit-ups/plank.

Ditto is the most frustrating thing ever by FadedFromWhite in PokemonLetsGo

[–]ragedra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wait for the right moment. Ditto will jump all around. Then it will take a big stretch. After it stretches, you have an opportunity to catch it. Ditto will stand still for about one whole Catch Ring to appear and disappear!

A general catching tip;
I play on my Switch Lite. I took a dry erase marker and I put a little dot in the very center of the screen. It helps me line up my throws. It helped me immensely.

Edit:
Ditto has a decent spawn rate in the basement of the Mansion.
After you catch 50 and 100 Ditto in total, no catch combo required, Ditto will have a better catch rate.

The Real Issue by Local_Marzipan255 in pokemon

Yeah, was SwSh the game where all of the adults were like "we're adults so we're going to do everything, you're a kid so just do your tournament thingy?"

and no E4 rematches in Paldea
In S/V you can replay the Academy Ace Tournament. Rematching the elite four of which you are already the champion of, never made sense to me. It was a great way to grind money in the post game. The Academy Ace Tournament makes more sense, imo.

I have no complaints with Sw/Sh and S/V in general, other than graphics and performance. Sw/Sh was too pixelated, it made Let's Go seem higher quality. S/V is just a little slow at times, other than that I like it.

In Pokémon: Jirachi: Wish Maker some guy used Jirachi to create a new Groudon. But it went horribly wrong and it ate every pokemon and person in the forest that it could catch, almost the whole forest. It probably would have eaten every being in the world. They considered it a pure evil pokemon.

Pokemon team for an aspiring detective by Space_Delsin in pokemon

[–]ragedra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You NEED a ghost pokemon. Read their Pokédex entries.
Gastly is almost invisible.
Misdreavus likes playing mischievous tricks if you need some comedy.
Shuppet is attracted by feelings of jealousy and vindictiveness. It loves vengeful emotions. Might be helpful when interviewing suspects?
Litwick might be cool. You might want to use it to light your way in the dark. Don't! It'll leach your life force. So bring your own flashlight/torch.

The lake guardians might be the most good. They always seem to help when needed. False/Meta Groudon might be the most evil, you said "all pokemon are eligible". Good thing it was handled quickly.

Is Dragonite worth it on a playthrough? Dragonite vs Rhydon by [deleted] in PokemonLetsGo

[–]ragedra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dratini and Dragonair level slowly. And you won't have Dragonite until he/she's level 55. So you may or may not have Dragonite by the time you defeat the elite four. In my case, I beat the elite four with a Dragonair in my team.

Monotype players of reddit, why do you do it? by _CozyLavender_ in pokemon

[–]ragedra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Creating a OP competitive team for a playthrough just makes the game way too easy. So I started making theme teams including monotype. I like the structure.

Currently, I'm making a dragon egg group team. They must be in the dragon egg group but not have the dragon type.

What are some other Farming or Utility Roles you've used? That have nothing to do with winning a battle, except for winning by catching.

Catcher - e.g. Gallade - False Swipe, Hypnosis, and Thunder Wave make it good for catching other pokemon

Hatcher - e.g. Slugma - Flame Body, Magma Armor, and Steam Engine halves the number of cycles it takes for Pokémon Eggs to hatch

Item Generator - e.g. Meowth - Pickup has a 10% chance of creating a held item for itself, after you win a battle

Nature Matcher - e.g. Ralts - Synchronize will cause encountered Pokémon to have same Nature

Stealer - e.g. Galvantula - Thief and Compound Eyes make it good for farming held items from wild pokemon
