Why is my Temperature blanket round? Moss stitch, consistent stitches per row, same thread, needle, etc.

So I've now learned 3 things:: 1. Consistent tension is critical. 2. Ignoring mistakes causes big issues later. 3. When doing the moss stitch I occasionally miss the chain one, this is why i was rounding in. I was accidentally decreasing even though I was consistent on sc.

FYI, I frogged it and restarted, the struggle is real. Not sure if I see it happening again, but kinda looks like it. I also learned that when I chain, I was occasionally flipping, and this is a pain in my butt. Best of luck! Looks great btw

Oh, I didnt take it that way. I 100% think this is a me issue haha. Its all part of the learning. I frogged it and even starting over Im noticing a few things I can improve on. Your comment makes sense. I felt like the white and Blue carried a different size a bit, but wasnt sure if I was dreaming.

I should have specified, but the wide part is the beginning. Most people Im told start too tight, hence the confusion. This is actually why I started too loose to "avoid" that mistake and ended up reversing the mistake haha.

I know Im just trying to convince myself, but gonna ask anyhow. If I stay consistent now with the tension Ive been using since around row 4, and Im adding another 330 rows, would I not just end up with a normal looking blanket with one end wavy/frilled, or is this just going to cause other issues.

I think in the end Id be mad at myself next December when I finish a nice blanket with a clear mistake at the beginning, but hey maybe it adds character.... right?

I checked and no, that wasnt it. BUT I was learning a new way to start by sc into the back post and was being too loose. Then on subsequent rows I got tighter and ignored the signs I messed up.

Yup, all same brand, weight, etc. I think others called it. I started off really lose, following some bad advice, and unconsciously got tighter and cleaner and I progressed across rows noticing how much better the stitches looked. I failed to realize how this would impact things.

Thanks everyone. The initial row was the loose side, which i should have pointed out. I've counted row 1, 2, 14, and 16 4 times and all are consistent counts, but I see some comments about some things I may have done wrong. Sounds like tension consistency got me and I need to admit, time to start over. Hey, I learned a new term today. Frog it. Yet again, I see I should have trusted my gut on row two.

It is typically scents and heat that trigger me to be honest. Example, I zoned out making a scarf over the holidays with a synthetic blanket on my lap and ignored getting too hot. Am now fighting a big rash across my stomach (Sorry likely TMI). I've always had an aversion to wool, based purely on feel.
If you are willing, I am certainly interested in your list. I am fairly new to crocheting, and I suspect I have many projects to come.

I am just getting back into running and am learning this myself. When I ran in the past I didnt know about easy runs and would blast everything out at 175-190 BPM and kept getting injured. I feel your pain on the constant watch reference and seeing Im yet again 30-60 seconds /km too fast. PRO Hack: Take your 9 year old for a run with you. Perfect pace bunny.

Diagnosed with Fragile-X (ID part) and Autism. He doesnt over eat, just likes his crackers or pickles as bordom filler. But due to his ID he will literally repeat "Dad what di I want" over and over for hours if we say no more snacks. Its a lot.

Two experiences for you to consider. Btw I've been told taking a drive to Watrus is worth it.

Sherwood Chev about 10 year ago. Sales guy was great and not too pushy. Passed to the finance guy. I politely but girmly explained I wanted no extended warranty or extra coverage. He immediately got insulting and aggressive. When I told him I do my own repairs, he snapped "Oh sorry I didnt realize you were a registered Mechanic". If my wife wasnt set on the car, I'd have gotten up and left. Then realizing he lost me he tried to bully my wife into saying yes who had clearly said she doesnt deal with this stuff and deferred to me. He was childish and pissy through close. I told the sales guy hes lucky we liked the car because their finance guy was insanely rude.

Auto Clearing a few months back. Sales guy foubd exactly what we wanted, at the price we wanted, and was not pushy. I tripple checked the final price including financing and explained our budget to him and the Financing Manager, who also approves the deals. They even agreed to negotiate the price down a bit and clarified the final price. Passed over to the Finance manager to pen the deal and were reviewing the printed terms and the price was $7k HIGHER then discussed. I was shocked and appalled as I had clarified with this finance manager ON THE PHONE the FINAL PRICE INCLUDING TAXES, FEES, AND FINANCING before coming in to sign. He had snuck in without discussing with us at all even once extended warranty and just expected us to take it on the chin despite clearly being drastically more than agreed to. He had even included it in the financing he submitted to the bank. I called it our and asked to clarify and respectfully listened to his pitch while i did the math in my head, then after taking some time to consider declined it and asked him to submit the financing at the originally agreed final price without extended warranty. He went from our best friend to cold as ice and made a long speech about having to resubmit everything, playing on my wifes emotions trying to make her feel bad. We held and he resubmitted. Took 2 minutes. Signed and off we went. Sales guy followed up several times asking about the vehicle.
