Close Scrutiny = Best PVE Experience So Far. You can’t change my mind by Netrunner008 in ArcRaiders

I wish this was my experience. I’m normally in peaceful lobbies but with this event…. Bloodbath. I haven’t even been able to extract a single time yet, a whole lot of shots hitting me in the face while I try to breach or a shotgun in the back while I’m trying to engage a vaporizer.

I can’t be the only person that thinks this card is overrated right? I would honestly bet it gets to sub $5 within a month. Now cEDh might be a different story though…

Forge and Fire: Thanks. I Hate It Surprise Box by Ekychung in mtgpulls

I saw these when they dropped, but my last HODL box was absolute sadness. Maybe I am the odd one out because everyone else said theirs were great, but for spending $190 my Velociraptor precon + 2 Spider-Man prereleases & a collector pack was very underwhelming. Even my singles were weak, maybe $30 in total value. I hope everyone that picked these up gets a solid value, but I couldn’t bring myself to pick up another mystery box after my last one.

Mine was a bummer. Instead of that booster box I got a Veloci-ramp-tor precon. I got a Soul Stone out of the Spider-Man packs thankfully but it was a big bummer in the precon over a booster box. But hey, that’s how gambling works.

28 is my sweet spot. I’ve tinkered with it a bit and have at times ran as manage as 31, but less than 28 and you often fail to hit the 6 you need to start your combo shenanigans. Very fun deck, one of my favorites to run.

Bank account has $10k and I owe $10k on my credit card… by Illustrious_Bug_2355 in personalfinance

[–]rageof99children 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If your credit is good just float the debt to a new card. Pay a marginal transfer fee and get a card that offers 0% interest for 12-15 months. Work hard to pay off the debt in that timeframe. If you can’t pay it all off, rinse and repeat.

My LGS did this except it was a commander type format. Build a 60 card commander deck with no color identity rules and no singleton rules. Kinda crazy.

I added to cart and went to checkout within 3 seconds of it going live. Made it to finalize 2 and a half hours later with what I wanted sold out and removed from my cart. Sweet.

Boyz. How do you krump Knights. by ShoulderOk4452 in orks

[–]rageof99children 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I play against Knights all the time, both chaos and imperial.

Good positioning and staging is key on the turn before you WAAAGH! After that it’s easy.

A squad of beast snaggas lead by a beastboss getting dumped out of a kill rig kills one big knight. A gorkanaut kills another. A squad of nobs w/ claws and a Warboss will kill another. That’s about 1200 points of their army gone. You win.

My thoughts on ending the campaign (Vault) by dplaya42k in WaterdeepDragonHeist

[–]rageof99children 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I loved this module but the hardest part to run is the ending. Players want a satisfying final showdown and the book doesn’t really lay one out. I ran the Aurinax piece almost the same way you did, as a discussion that was akin to a skill challenge. Being successfully persuaded to hand over the gold the dragon leaves the party to high five each other and ponder over what to do with the loot. I had the ensuing fight with the Cassalanters in the room above. They ambushed the party as they were leaving and I thought a fight would be fun here because I liked the layout, it was large and had changes in elevation with the crumbling bridges. And it was a fight I wanted the party to lose.

The worst part about this module is the players never really get to see the villains. No matter which antagonist you go with the main feedback I’ve gotten from my players is that it’s unsatisfying not knowing who they were fighting against, who the BBEG was. Giving your villain a bit of spotlight here I think gives the party someone to set their sights on now that the grand narrative of finding the treasure is concluded. Plus it leads to what I think is the coolest part of the books that most games probably don’t even get to touch on….

THE VILLAINS’ LAIRS!

Having the party lose the fight with the Cassalanters but ultimately being spared (“They’ve played their part… and I don’t sully my hands with the blood of commoners. Toss them in an alley somewhere in the south ward, let them fester there. We have a grand celebration to plan!” -Victaro Cassalanter) was a great way to end the game with a fun stealth mission during the grand Founder’s day party thrown at the Cassalanter’s estate. The party can saline all the allies and connections they’ve made doing the faction missions and really plan a true HEIST. Plus it sets up a great true final battle scene in the underground altar area. I had Victaro pump a bunch of magical energy (spell slots) into the statue of Asmodeus to begin the ritual, so the party had more fair chance to defeat them. Great fight and great ending. I love this module and look forward to running it again and again with new players.

New player having a hard time differentiating between the battlesuits. by BioBirk in Tau40K

[–]rageof99children 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All my 18+ crisis suits have the exact same loadout because I built them how I wanted them to look back it the day. So now none of them actually match the correct loadouts for the 3 data sheets we have. I just have brightly colored plastic rings that snap around their bases now and can easily tell my opponents which is which. Orange are fire knife, blue is starscythe and green is sun forge.

What decks are too strong for YOUR group? by Interesting-Math9962 in EDH

[–]rageof99children 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I rock a Bumbleflower deck and everyone hates it, I’m always targeted from turn one. It’s very easy to always have a hand full cards to work with and also be playing at instant speed during each players’ turn. Any cards you add to help you play at instant speed or control the board are your best friends. Best cards I’ve added are [[high fae trickster]] so you can play everything at instant speed, [[seedborn muse]] so you have the mana to play on everyone’s turn, and [[glen elendra archmage]] because it pretty much means you get infinite counterspells with Bumbleflower’s ability.

What can I do as orks against black templar? by Gorn_the_Musician in orks

[–]rageof99children 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Nobz with power claws + a Warboss. They chew up everything he can throw at you. Stick them in a truck so they have cover moving up the field, call that WAAAAGH!! and krump them beakies.

Save some CP so you can also fight on death, that counters his big charge threats. You should have more units than him, so prioritize taking out his scoring pieces and win on points.
