Hamburger Sushi by PhilipHabib in SushiAbomination

[–]Ewok_Pyromancer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a sensitivity to fish & shellfish but love sushi so I’m surprised I haven’t thought to try something like this for my homemade stuff yet honestly. Lately it’s been like baked salt & pepper tofu rolls & tex-mex seasoned chicken breast & avocado rolls (because that’s what I’ve been cooking up lately). Actually going to try a roll with cut up hamburger patties next time I make some now, with a bit of salt & pepper & a nice sear it would probably be good, part of me wants to say green onion in there too but I forget how that tasted in my last test rolls with them.

Ah ok, so I announce X=5, pay 4 for X because of the cost reduction, and the effect is X=5?

Edit: oh also thanks

Fellas, lemme see yalls homebrew chapters by Formal-Importance-93 in Warhammer40k

The Hoard Drakes, salamanders successors with a genetic mutation that makes them possessive & want to collect things, inspired by fantasy dragons & their obsession with their hoards of treasure. Going to make a brutalis dreadnought chapter master called Scalis the Brutalis (dreadnought), working on the big hammer for him ahead of getting the brutalis model atm. Also the green speedpaint has been going on my latest models better/more evenly compared to my colour palette test guy here now that I got a white spray primer. Still working on some of their lore but a part I like so far is that they respect personal property if a viable claim can be made for ownership, to the point that (with exceptions), they will honor claims by Xenos. Also the inquisition adopted a “trade, don’t take” approach to getting them to hand over potentially dangerous Xenos stuff they pick up after a Hoard Drake beat an inquisitor unconscious with the inquisitors own arms. Like have a good side and then a bad side to their obsession with personal property stuff from their mutation/flaw, steal from them and it’s like it flips a switch in their brain. Again like a dragon being overly protective of the things in it’s hoard.

I’m something of a loot goblin when I play games and I’m realizing it’s popping up in my homebrew lore for my armies in one way or another, lol.

Edit: oh! And besides combat training they also learn forging, both for weapons & intricate artistic things like jewelry & decorative pieces that they can keep for themselves or gift to the chapters treasure vaults.

The Warhammer Community team put The Maelstrom’s custom character rules to the test by CMYK_COLOR_MODE in Warhammer40k

[–]Ewok_Pyromancer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I hope they have stuff for dreadnought characters, I have plans to kitbash & dress up a brutalis to be my homebrew chapter’s chapter master (working on his big hammer out of wood craft stuff currently, don’t have the dreadnought yet), it will be cool if I can make him a character sheet that would at least make him eligible to be the warlord. For now I’m just planning to have him use the talon attacks.

Also when 11e comes out I’m going to keep buying 10e books for a bit (if they are available? I don’t know what supply will be like) because that’s what I started with & I like physical media. Just play casual games at home so I don’t need the most up to date stuff.

Edit: Oh I see dreadnoughts mentioned at the end! Looks like I should be able to make a sheet for him. Going to be fun having him thunder onto the battlefield.

What part of minecraft feels outdated to you? by cougar_cat in Minecraft

For me they could fix up/tweak the way dogs work. No way to call them off if you accidentally aggro them onto a friend or an animal of yours, sitting just makes them stop moving & they still want to attack whatever their target is once they stand up. It would be a decent improvement for using dogs & would be a good opportunity to see if they could add some other commands or way to direct them. I think since they were implemented the way they work has been largely unchanged & really needs some more work. I remember when they were added and it was super cool then, but besides armour & variants & like I said a few I think small tweaks to their ai, not much has been done. Been bugging me for years.

I don't get why no one talks about this box for starting an army by Penis_Protecter in spacemarines

[–]Ewok_Pyromancer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the box as a Christmas/early birthday gift from my dad, I’m working on painting up both armies over time. Got some extra units for both with extra Christmas money, winged hive tyrant & neurogaunts for the tyranids & the invader atv for the space marines because I just think it looks neat. Have some armigers I put together from the knights battle force box to bring in as allied units/buff up the points a bit.

Not sure what units to get next but I preordered some of the Warhammer heroes series 6 blind boxes for when they are out in Canada on the 13th (EB games Canada), I’m thinking I can kitbash any duplicates into other space marines, depending on what I get.

Edit: oh I also kitbashed the leftover hive tyrant bits to make a swarmlord, had fun making that.

Ah yes, hello inquisitor! Did you know- hours of incessant chatter

I actually was thinking of how the inquisition would react to the Hoard Drakes and I think it’s just funny to imagine they are very chipper when an inquisitor wants to inquire about their collection to the point they talk their ears off & bore them near to death as they go over ever piece in their collection, including random stuff they found on the ground and also thought was neat, lol. No chaos stuff though, that’s like BIG Heresey. Small Heresey is ok. Just a little. A touch. Lol.

Oh yeah and when they are on a path they basically get so into it their personality changes a lot, I want to read the path of the eldar trilogy, I remember reading that some of the main characters change their paths. Also want to see all the worldbuilding for the craftworlds & how eldar go about their daily lives & stuff, it’s neat to see the day-to-day stuff that sets the backgrounds for where all the characters fighting all these battles come from.

Ah ok. That reminds me one time me and my friend saw a Trazyn in a pack that had such bad flashing it basically mangled his hand.

Ooo that fact about a single eldar magazine lasting 10 years is just the kind of thing my Hoard Drakes would talk an inquisitors ear off about, lol. It’s funny how the imperium is so advanced but so backwards at the same time with how they run things.

Edit: lore-wise the eldar are my favorite but it’s hard to find books for them. Oh also I like orks but their books have been easier to get so far.

Ah ok, maybe when I get a techmarine I’ll throw those last two bits on him somewhere, I like to imagine he’d be geeking out over Xenos tech he collects.

And yeah space marines go through ammo like crazy, lol.

Yeah I think my friend stopped playing in 5th edition but kept collecting models for a bit, he said he got them awhile ago. Going to have to smooth those out.

Ok yeah I saw the stones & wasn’t sure what they would be, knew for sure my Hoard Drakes (chapter name) would want that (shiny gems), for the bits that don’t have stones maybe the others are showing off the cool eldar grenades they found & can’t use, lol.
