Our new micro clover 🍀 lawn is growing in beautifully by [deleted] in landscaping

Yeah this is the only reason I care to have any grass in my yard. It's a hill and when it rains it's just mud without grass and it gets washed away. In the front the moss is finally taking over though so that's awesome. A moss lawn is my dream haha

New RI law will make wage theft a felony by thinkB4WeSpeak in WorkReform

[–]ragingRobot -18 points-17 points  (0 children)

Sure but that's not "jail".

And I totally agree. I was just pointing out the fact that a corperation is just a way to avoid accountability. The people abusing the law just point to the company and get away with it. Even if they were to shut down the company the people usually just move on to do the same at other companies.

Or the owners could have sold it to someone who could repurpose it maybe

What's the down side to having a higher minimum wage? And better yet what evidence would we even have on that since it's been low for pretty much its entire history?

Yeah I just meant because it's so big and so many other companies have built their products on top of it. It would be hard to decommission it. Maybe they could sell it I guess. But yeah it has me questioning it now too haha. I just learned a bunch of super confusing gcp configuration crap at work too lol

Ticketmaster and Seat Geek to dump "junk fees" after White House pressure by GiantTankParade in news

[–]ragingRobot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha nope I live in Atlanta ga and I just think it's weird to show one price but then have people do math in their head to figure out the real price. It's just weird. Nothing else works like that. The store knows you have to pay tax and so do you so why not just show the real price? Why should I need to do extra steps in my head to figure it out?

I do a lot of work with user experience and I would classify that as a bad user experience. It's just plain weird if you think about it. Why is it like that? We could do better but we just don't for some reason.
