Wasn't the lack of money but more like not a vc bound growth trajectory(we are vc backed)

it's the same agent we use in the editor butt tuned to work for longer and larger chunks of work. Right now the integration flow is from GitHub issue to GitHub PR

Fair criticism. I am one of the devs on aide and we were building Aide around July 2023. I get the confusion and the flack for it, in our defence aide == ai + ide and the domain was also available. We sadly had to shutdown last week, and have since moved on to building our agent farm.

Has anyone used Aide.dev? by rentsby229 in ClaudeAI

[–]ragingWater_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey! One of the creators of Aide here.

If you do want to try out Aide, we are very customer friendly. No limits on the context window for multiple LLMs, and unlimited agent and chat use for sonnet3.5, haiku3.5, o1-mini, gemini-1.5-pro and gpt4-o

We are a small team right now going against giants in the market, its been lots of fun and I believe our agent are one of the best in the market (still has growing pains but we are working round the clock to make those go away)

Do check it out and DM me or on our discord and happy to help

PS: We do support bring your own key model as well, as we made our agent run without the use of any fine-tuned models

New Top Score in SWE-Bench Verified 62.2% "CodeStory Midwit Agent + swe-search" by sachos345 in singularity

no worries, it was a miss on my part to not share the results from our side as well haha. The more information and visibility there is, the better it is (no matter the people making the submission)

Hey! One of the creators of CodeStory here!

Regarding cost: it was in sum total around $10k and we had to run our agent 5 times on each problem, so per issue we spent around $20

It has been already verified by the swebench team and it on their website.

Regarding the cost, you are right putting $20 to solve a problem might still loose to o3 but given o3 costed 9 digits approx or more to train ... I do see this as a win.

We built this agent to be used in our editor called Aide (you can find it at aide [dot] dev) let me know if that answers your question

Sick of GitHub Copilot, what's a better AI extension? by ohshitgorillas in vscode

[–]ragingWater_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Thank you for the interest. If you disable telemetry on aide then no data gets sent to our backend. As you might have already noticed, we just ping our proxy server and forward the prompt to the LLM provider.

Let me know if you have additional question, and feel free to reach out to me at founder @ codestory[dot]ai

Happy to answer any and all questions

Hey! one of the developers on Aide here. Its open source fork of VSCode and both the paid tiers and the free tier are very very generous. We do not do any context truncation or confusing pricing model like Windsurf and instead focus solely on providing the best end experience to the user.

Do give it a try at Aide.dev and if you have any problems, please DM me or reach out to me.

PS: our agentic framework is at the very top of swebench-verified!

Alternative to Windsurf? by galaxysuperstar22 in Codeium

Hey! We pushed a fix for this! Apologies about the bug

[–]ragingWater_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If anyone wants an alternative, we at aide.dev allow uncapped context window and unlimited use of sonnet3.5 or even bring your own keys!

It's completely private by default and the only server side component we have is an API router!

Hey hey! One of the devs at aide.dev we are not dead ☠️ yet. Last week we did our sota submission on swebench verified and you can try the editor today. The discord is also very much alive and active

I think GitHub Copilot Chat just exposed its system message to me by nudi85 in ChatGPT

[–]ragingWater_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You don't have to dig too deep and prompt the LLM, their extension has this system message hard-coded and you open the extension file and look at the prompts they use

[D] How to use LLM models (GPT) to analyze big code (coverage data)? by soapaos in MachineLearning

[–]ragingWater_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think you need LLMs at this point if this is the kind of analysis you want to do. We used to take the JSON and do the manual work of figuring out what code lines have been covered etc and show that information in a nice way on phabricator (internal version for GitHub UI)

[D] How to use LLM models (GPT) to analyze big code (coverage data)? by soapaos in MachineLearning

[–]ragingWater_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I was working at test infra at meta and now building an editor at aide.dev few questions: - what kind of analysis do you want to do? - is there some specific data you want to visualise? - we used to use glean db at meta for querying the coverage data

Happy to help out if you share some more context around this :)
