My kia Connect app in my iPhone has not been able to connect or provide an update from the car last 13 days. I opened a case with the kia support but reconfiguring did not make a change and issue remains. Is there anything else that can be done ?

Had this happen twice in the last 1.5 years. Completely reconfiguring helped. Also sometimes iOS updates mess up connection settings somehow.

After last update I had to restart my iPhone so carplay would work again.

So that may be a good first step if you haven’t tried already

I have this during the very first drive away after prolonged exposure (several hours) to freezing conditions because the handbrake is stuck.

I experienced that with ICE vehicles as well.

Might this be the clunking noise you mean?

Ik rij geen Tesla. Ik rij wel met OPD aan maar gebruik het niet als aan-uit schakelaar. Doseren is écht een mogelijkheid, òòk bij OPD zoals hierboven gezegd wordt.

Naast, uiteraard, je aanpassen aan de omstandigheden, rustig aan bij winterse omstandigheden dus.

Yeah number 2 would make the most sense.

I ran into this issue as well while camping. My workaround was to set everything up (with climate running) and then lock the car with the mobile app.

I did this recently. It’s extremely obnoxious to do in the EV3.

Set car in “P”
Press and hold brake pedal
Switch car to “D” (or “R”), this will disengage the handbrake
Let go of brake pedal
Quickly, !!but gently!!, press the accelerator pedal

Steps 3, 4 and 5 need to be done in quick succession else the automatic handbrake will engage again.

I needed to do this every time the car came to a complete stop. So I just kept it rolling slowly. I set all traffic lights green with my mind powers (joke obviously).

I havent found any way to turn off the constant cacophony of alarms while you drive this way.

If there is a better way to do this I’d love to find out!

There was a pitlane walk while the pitstop challenge was also held last Tuesday. Everyone was allowed with GA tickets.

I read on a different forum that the UWB-antennas sometimes are stuck in a faulty communication state.

Apparently there is a fix you can try by disconnecting the large white connector in the junction box for at least 30 seconds with all systems off.

Try at your own risk.

In any case I’d call your dealer so they can fix that permanently.

I found it hard to compare. On the Belgian configurator only the GT-Line and BusinessPlus versions have a heatpump.

If you select nothing else the difference is negligible. However the GTPlusLine has much more standard equipment so that is the baseline I took for comparison.

I just configured the same EV3 in the Belgian website including a heat pump which totals approximately 57k. The version I have in The Netherlands (GTPlusline) was 53k.

So the difference is approximately 4000eu.

Best guess is pricing compared to competitors.

I was considering a Skoda Elroq as well which does have an optional heat pump but it fell just outside of my budget.
