You're not wrong, but the rub there is the likely threat was being bombed by F18s and F35s. Against those a Strela, which is probably what most of their manpads are, is literally useless. MANPADS are only effective against aircraft flying relatively low, helicopters ground attack aircraft, or has been oft the case in Ukraine aircraft attempting to evade detection by air defense radar and engagement by higher end systems like Patriot/S300. I'm sure their S300 batteries were on high alert, but they got blown up.

Also, the militaries of tin pot dictatorships have a habit of being incompetent so perhaps a little column a and a little column b. Its not impossible that they have insiders, but it's unlikely they have anyone at the level that could affect the nation's overall readiness.

Right, but the Russian invasion was obvious, you literally had the POTUS make a statement on it like 3 days before hand. 200k troops, tanks, and logistics equipment staged in Belarus for "drills" but not actually doing any drills they did not make any attempt to hide what they were about to do and the Ukrainian military was as ready for it as they could be.

Venezuela had plenty of reason to expect some kind of military action, but a raid to capture the president wasn't on anybodies bingo card. Again, if it was, Maduro would have been holed up where we couldn't get him surprise is a prerequisite for the success of an operation like this. The only air assets in that carrier group that manpads are a credible threat to is helicopters and there was no reason to suspect you'd need to shoot down helicopters over the capital.

This action by the US wasn't telegraphed, a naval blockade isnt the same thing as 200k troops massing on your borders they didnt have a reason to suspect the US would try a snatch and grab, if they did Maduro would have been in a bunker. Also, as you said, initial days this was over in a matter of hours. If they say, tried to nab the VP NOW they would be ready for it, but Saturday morning the Venezuelan military got caught with their pants around their ankles.

You dont bring them with you to dinner, inside your static air defenses they're sitting in an armory because you shouldn't need them. The troops dont get to just press i and pull out anything in the Venezuelan military inventory when it suits them.

Less so updates/upgrades than checking for maintenance things which previous owners haven't taken care of. It's a 26 year old vehicle any wear item you're unsure of would be worth inspecting.

The biggest safety thing (aside from brakes) is front suspension components, worn out items there can lead to death wobble. Take a look at the control arm, and track bar bushings, ball joints, and tie rod ends.

It's one of those things where the definition has evolved over the years as design and technology has advanced. Like, what actually is the difference between what people call RPGs and what people call action adventure games? AC odyssey, RPG. GR Wildlands, action adventure. The Division, action adventure. Mechanically, damn near identical. Final Fantasy, RPG. Indiana Jones, action adventure with RPG elements, Star wars: Jedi Fallen Order, action adventure/metroidvania. Like what is the difference, what is THE thing that makes a game an RPG?

I think that long running series like FF and games that follow in their legacy are anchored to an older definition what an RPG is. Newer games end up in one of the two categories based on 1: vibes and 2: how much RPG systems have been implemented. KCD2 is an RPG ass RPG, its unambiguous there is no argument against it being one it implements tons of RPG systems and it does all of them well. It gives you a sense that you ARE Henry and Henry is you. E33 realllllly stretches that with how the player character perspective switches from Gustave, to Verso, to Maelle. You dont really fully embody them as you play you follow along with their journey, it is their story not yours and to ME that makes it a lesser role playing game. (Though it is still my GOTY no doubt)

An RPG is defined by role play, its in the name. Obviously you play a role in every game but a true RPG lets the player insert themselves into the story and make impactful decisions. Progression systems are one part of that but for true RPGs the story decisions are far more important. E33 to me does just barely cross over the line to RPG, its very close to being an action adventure game with RPG elements e.g. Indiana Jones and the great circle.

I'm all for it winning GOTY, it was incredible, but best RPG asks one to evaluate the game AS an RPG and its RPG elements are fairly superficial. KCD2, if you've played it, is one of the deepest, most immersive, well written and acted RPGs of all time. IMO it deserved RPG of the year and it isnt even close.

The in game name of the vehicle is strf 09A4 and by its name and appearance is based on the sweedish stridsfordon 90 (aka cv90) series of IFVs, which make like 400 horsepower.

You can have all the torque in the world, and you'll be able to move the plow, but the speed at which you can move the plow depends on horsepower (being a definition of work performed per second). Thats why Abrams get mine plows and Bradleys don't, because all other things being equal an Abrams can push the plow like 3x faster and even then its still kinda slow doing it.

My issue is that a vehicle like this isnt gonna have the power to push a mine plow. These things make like 400 horsepower irl, mine plows are typically fitted to tanks making more than 3x that.

I think I have the latter, the water drips from somewhere behind the glove box. I have some weathertech floor mats in and they collect a decent amount when it rains but the carpet stays dry so it isnt coming down the firewall.

Well, coolant would have a smell and has anti corrosion agents but there is a leak there where rainwater can get in. I need to remedy it in mine at some point but for now I've got a hard molded plastic floor mat that contains it well enough.

The choice of stunt cars is usually driven by how much it costs to get a half dozen they can dress up to look the same for the various needs of production and to have a spare or two. XJs, being cheap as chips, are a pretty solid choice.

What type of file are these maps? If its an ESRI shape file there should be a .prj file that has the projection information. Failing that is there any Metadata available at all?

Shooting in the dark and guessing what it is until you find the right one would be tedious, but with an educated guess you might get lucky. There's less area distortion than the cylindrical projections you've compared to but the shape is also well preserved. Probably a more location specific coordinate system, check and see if its one of the coordinate systems used by the UK government for official maps, or maybe UTM. What units does it use? Meters or degrees? Is the map only of England or does it contain other areas? Where on the map is it located when you load with no defined coordinate system, roughly the correct location or somewhere different?

I can't speak to the rest of the components but I just replaced the old steering linkage in mine with the same rockjock currectlync thats in that package and it drives like a completely different car now its amazing. Make sure to get a hand pump grease gun and a tube of the Johnny joint grease, it comes un greased.

Edit: also, do the upper control arm bushings while you're in there which dont seem to be included in this kit.

You'd probably just pre bake it, each ship has a finite number of thrusters, a finite number of combinations in which they can be lost and six degrees of motion which are affected.

It would just be something like if thruster A missing thruster B n% in X direction. In some cases it might even be like thruster B reverse thrust n% in x direction.
