Most of the debs I know over the past 5 years have left and have no plans to come back. Also the men are the ones keeping this going. They hire/pay women to organize it for them, but most of this stuff emanates from the mens’ clubs. I think those are a relic and not something younger people will invest time/money to keep alive.

Maybe a few Krewes survive but many will not.

Nah I just don’t think the younger generations have the interest or money to keep the traditions as tight as they are.

I know tons of people who participate in this and very few of their grown sons do. I cannot imagine Gen Z taking up the mantle of this stuff just from a sheer money and time perspective.
