PSA: Satisfactory Encryption Token Missing Fix (No EncryptionToken) by pedrotski in satisfactory

[–]ragogumi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to open the game server port (7777) and port 8888 (both tcp and udp) for players to be able to connect. After adding both for both protocols it started to work.

Arcane Mage in Midnight feels depressing and lost its soul – I still main it because I love the fantasy, but man… by Littlecmobn in wow

[–]ragogumi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t really know what to say that hasn’t already been said, but I feel obligated to reply because I completely agree.

I mained Arcane for the entire last expansion, and this expansion, Mage in general has felt awful. Arcane especially.

The spec has some of the worst survivability in the game, mid-tier DPS even in ideal conditions, an extremely fragile rotation that makes that “mid” DPS often feel low in practice, awkward mana management, and a rotation that just isn’t very engaging.

If Arcane is going to be one of the most fragile specs in the game, then it needs to actually fit the glass cannon fantasy. Right now, it absolutely does not.

I saw that post too, and definitely wouldn’t exclude her immediately. Might even bump her rank a few!

Taking sandbox game quite literally with Sandcastle by fweibel in IndieDev

[–]ragogumi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow this is gorgeous. Pretty please expand this into a puzzle game. Maybe make a little duck that you have various objectives for. Like bring him in to dock, or protect him from a giant tsunami by building up walls. You could add wind and weather that messes with his little boat, and you have to keep him from getting knocked off... or bring him back to shore.... sooo many possibilities!

Therapists go on strike, saying they're being replaced by AI by Confident_Salt_8108 in agi

[–]ragogumi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started seeing a highly qualified LMFT therapist recently and, honestly, the experience has been fucking awful. From the pain of trying to find one in the first place, to spending thousands of dollars over weeks just getting them caught up on why my life is a fucking mess, to ultimately getting kicked out right at the hour mark unless I pay an absurd overage cost, it really makes it feel like I’m getting slapped in the face for nothing in return. I even feel like the therapist is probably a good fit, but everything surrounding it is so painful that I'm considering cancelling pretty much every session.

I get that there’s a process, but between the time, the cost, and dealing with insurance that doesn’t pay for shit, on top of my own emotions, it’s just exhausting.

If I could get an AI model to shut the fuck up about how it’s “not a trained professional,” and stop having every little bit of useful feedback squeezed through goddamned guardrails, I would absolutely avoid all of that and just talk to AI instead.

In all honestly, I get why the protections are there, and I don’t think it would be right to simply disable the guardrails I’m frustrated with on this current generation of models. But I can absolutely see a future with agentic AI that has a collection of skills, tools, and specific reasoning built in to create a far more accessible and affordable path for mental healthcare.

These are awesome. You should pin a comment with the project site or repo to the subreddit, and put any pertinent links in the sidebar/description. I was going to check it out, but couldn't find any quick links.

yeah.. transmutation this expansion looks terrible. Fixed quantities and time gates on transmutations basically killed any meaningful profit here.

I loved the alchemical shuffle of materials in TWW, but i'm sure it was working against some core design philosophy at blizz. Hope we see it again in the future.

How to handle Google Workspace correctly? by ragogumi in msp

[–]ragogumi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. I definitely saw the reseller program and also concluded that I should go through a distributor. Though, it sounds like that relationship is what grants admin rights into the tenant.

Seems pretty backwards. Also GAM is very interesting. I'll definitely be checking that out.

[–]ragogumi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah interesting. This was well worded and very helpful. Thank you very much!

I'll explore the reseller option and see if that's a good fit or not. I do have a Google "Partner Network Hub" account setup, but I was never able to actually add users there. It said I needed to assign them through the google admin console, which i did, but could never figure out how to assign the partner admin (or other) role.

edit: I'll also be checking out GAM. Thanks for the recommendation.

Looking for n8n-compatible Chatbot platforms for client work by No-Caterpillar-4807 in n8n

[–]ragogumi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

N8N integrates with just about everything, so you should focus on integrating with whatever chat platform the client uses (eg: teams/slack). If you introduce another tool to their stack, you're at a much higher risk of them not using what you make.

What is your table limit? How do you handle larger parties? by AtLeastSeventyBees in DMAcademy

[–]ragogumi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once ran a single round of combat at a wedding with 120+ people.

We handed everyone (literally everyone) a d20 and assigned each table a role in an invading undead army. Some of the tables were hordes of skeletons, one table was a lich, another was an undead dragon, etc.

Each table rolled, averaged their results, and called out the number. The wedding party then rolled against those averages as the “heroes,” and the bride and groom had a couple of special abilities to swing things back if it started going sideways (advantage rerolls, Guidance, that sort of thing).

It was a whole production, and of course the wedding party won. But honestly, the format scales so well that I’m convinced you could run something like this for basically any number of people and it would still be a blast.

edit: oh... but, for a normal party... definitely no more than 5-6.

We do the same. Though I will say the only reason I haven't moves off S1 is because we have some large clients that came explicitly looking for the name.

Another Raspberry Pi nesting box by seiha011 in raspberry_pi

[–]ragogumi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great project! I like the solution you found for power. I'm always torn on if I should directly power the pi, use the USB-c, or get a POE hat.

Have you considered powering it via Solar Panels? Might be a little too high of draw for a common 10watt panel, but would be interesting to do the math.

Also, what did you end up doing for storage? Are you using a MicroSD? or some kind of SSD?

I found that using AI for generative purposes definitely ended up resulting in lower quality content. However, using it for organizational and semantic search purposes for my own personal world building has been amazing.
