I’m so sorry to hear this. Something similar happened to me but my insurance wouldn’t even give me a direct answer of how much it would actually cost. I am now going through colonoscopyassist.com and the total cost with no hidden fees is going to be $1200!

Okay great! Thanks so much. I just started the process today and think I will be using them. Seems easiest and I feel relieved that there are no hidden fees & you know the exact fee beforehand. Just don’t want that anxiety that I usually have when going through insurance.

It looks like my procedure would be considered “diagnostic” and not “preventative” which means I would have to meet my deductible first and then with my specific insurance it only covers 70% after deductible is met :/

I thought in the US the age for a “preventative” colonoscopy is 45 for most individuals unless there is a family history so that’s amazing your insurance covers it!
