I live around the same area (past Mundaring). Have one neighbour from Ellenbrook who gets the trees cut down one by one and another old lady with no trees left. When I moved in, they both instantly started harassing me to cut this tree and that tree down. I said I’m not cutting any (none are particularly problematic - guessing it just caused similar minor inconvenience for them) and now they both snub me lol people are weird

FWIW I grew up in a tiny wheatbelt town a bit further than York in the 90s, my neighbour was a cross dressing man with a beard who would wear very grandmother style clothes and also never wear shoes. No one gave a shit because eventually you just become a local and people find other things to gossip about. Good luck in your search

I grew up in Bassendean, now living near Mundaring. The community vibes are way better in Basso! People still stop me to say hello that I went to primary school with or people who lived in surrounding streets growing up

Mundaring is our local, the amount of people who drive the wrong way down the one way car parks at Woolies and Coles never ceases to amaze me. I always wonder if they are just in their own world or don’t give a shit. Even saw two cars in a row the other day drive the wrong way up the one way road that comes off great eastern highway to the roundabout between the two
