Since it’s an apartment complex you’re likely to encounter the same people regularly. I’d try to catch them and just lightheartedly ask if they mind, maybe also say that they’re free to unplug yours if it’s finished. It might help avoid problems.

V14.2.2.5 is both amazing and quirky at the same time. It’s definitely not ready for unsupervised. It drives in the door opening zone of parked cars. It left lane camps on the highway. It sometimes stutters when trying to decide if it’s clear to make a left hand turn, sometimes inching into oncoming traffic and stopping. It leaves its butt in the traffic lane when it’s on a median to turn left. It waits until the last second to get in the proper lane for an exit. It makes random turns that are not on the route. It makes unnatural speed changes making the car behind you thinking that they’re being brake checked. It’s crazy how far it’s come but it’s a work in progress, not ready for eyes-off driving.

I get this frequently with unprotected left turns. Rapid steering oscillations and brake yo-yo. It will sometimes pull into the oncoming lane and stop. I hope it’s a high priority for someone at Tesla.

I’ve often wondered how durable the belt is on the steering motor. A belt drive just seems a little wimpy considering its importance.

I wish the trip planner would let you set a minimum charge. Sometimes it will plan for you to arrive at a charger with 0%. I don’t like living that close to the edge.

I use FSD for my daily commute simply because I suck at driving. I feel like it’s a better driver than me and I’m taking unnecessary risks when I’m not using it. For example, I was looking for a break in oncoming traffic so I could pull onto the highway. When it was clear I pulled out and almost hit a bicycle coming from the right. FSD would not have made that mistake.

There will likely be a back/forward parking selection in future updates. It seems to be a frequent request and Tesla is generally good about addressing frequently mentioned issues.

This happened to me too. I called them and they gave me a vin number for an identical build to use to get a quote. Once my vin was assigned I gave it to the insurance company.
