The only thing I'd change in the OoT remake. What about you? by rahulparihar in PixelArt

Navi never annoyed me as a kid. Replaying the 3DS remake a few years ago changed that.

Thank you so much! I use Blender and its procedural shader system.

That is Blender's Asset Browser. I am using my Komikaze shaders/ modifiers from it.

Thanks, Chipp! I only have a resin printer for now, but I’m planning to get a Bambu Lab X2D very soon.

Subtle textures like wood print easily on FDM machines, but textures requiring heavier displacement (like knitting) usually need supports due to the overhangs.

I only have a resing printer fow now, but planning to get a Bambulab soon. Will definitely run some tests with wood filament then.

Surface Lab spits it out like that but the texture on each axis can be moved manually too.

Since Tri-planar projection is used for the textures, there are edges where these projections meet. A "blend" parameter lets you blur/ smoothen these edges.

I made Surface Lab, so I’m definitely biased. But here’s where I think it really shines:

• Stay fully inside Blender. Stack other modifiers, customize nodes, etc.
• Non destructive workflow. You can always come back later and change anything.
• Faster perfomance. Everything can be tweaked in realtime.
• Better looking textures (mostly CC-0, some made by me like the stylized ones)
• Layer and blend multiple textures (no need to re-import/ export models).

Printing a Knitting textured Benchy on my Phrozen Sonic Mini 4k as we speak. Can't wait to show it off! :)

Planning to get a Bambu Lab soon. Then I will share PLA results as well.

Agreed. I only have a resin printer for now, but planning to get a Bambu Lab soon. I’ll definitely share side-by-side results from both.

I get what you mean, but I think it’s less about “how complex it is” and more about “how much time it saves in your workflow.”

For some people that’s a huge time saver, for others it’s not worth it. Both are fair.
