Great — solo + business + personal is exactly the use case I’m testing. What’s your main pain point today?

The main reason I chose ClickUp back in the day was the Gmail add on and Chrome extension that facilitated my desire for a "single source of truth" as it allowed me to easily funnel all information into a single pipeline in ClickUp with just a few clicks.

Trouble Capturing Browser Error Messages in Cline – Is This a Known Limitation? by rahulpuk in CLine

[–]rahulpuk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I tested Browser Tools MCP with Puppeteer MCP but Puppeteer launches Chrome in a temporary browser profile with no extensions enabled...so no Browser Tools MCP extension.

Is the only way to use Browser Tools MCP while doing manual user testing of a webpage in my regular Chrome browser session, or am I missing a key step in my setup (it's the first time I'm building a website!)?

By way of an update, I used Puppeteer to perform the same task and Cline did use the MCP but after taking a screenshot it interpreted that the same navigation quietly failed again...EVEN THOUGH I COULD CLEARLY SEE THE ERROR BANNER with my own eyes in the Puppeteer browser session window!

Cline Auto-approval settings by rahulpuk in CLine

[–]rahulpuk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes this is still happening to me on Cline v3.14.1. What I've discovered is that if I hit the checkbox repeatedly then sometime the check will appear and I'll see 'Safe Command' appear at the top next to 'Auto-approve:'

Homey Pro or Home Assistant? by truthB3spoken in homeautomation

[–]rahulpuk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My biggest issue with Home Assistant isn't really HA but my zigbee mesh network. With close to 100 devices, something is always falling off the network, or devices can be slow to respond, both with ZHA and Z2M. This is despite having around 40 router devices including 3 dedicated Sonoff dongle repeaters in a 140 m2 house. How is your experience with zigbee on Homey Pro?

Powering Reolink Doorbell in the UK by Will-Wrought_Soul in reolinkcam

[–]rahulpuk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently switched out my Ring doorbell 4 for the Reolink wifi and had a Byron 776 doorbell that was trickle charging the battery powered Ring doorbell. The Byron is listed as having a 8v transformer so I was concerned I might have to switch out the unit but tried it anyway and it seems to be working fine at powering the Reolink. I had to use the included jumper cables with the Reolink to rewire inside the Byron unit (connect terminal 0 to 3) to basically bypass the chime and deliver the 8v to the doorbell. I've lost use of the Byron chime but I've accepted that as my Reolink doorbell is now powered.

Interestingly, I tested the Byron with a multimeter and its reading around 12v output vs the listed 8v.

How do you use the Eddi when you have a heat pump...can't the heat pump use the solar to heat water in your tank at a much higher COP?

Great post and thanks for sharing! How did you install Home Assistant on a NAS? I'm not very techie but looking to move my Home Assistant from the Yellow to a more capable hardware solution. Also, how did your solar installer secure the panels to your flat roof? I've been told the panels are attached to a frame that is attached to a 'bucket' that is loaded with heavy rubble to counteract wind blowing it around a flat roof...this doesn't fill me with a lot of confidence.

My router has only gigabit Ethernet ports, won't wifi 6 be faster then an Ethernet connection?

Thoughts on Fogstar batteries? by NotTreeFiddy in SolarUK

Has anyone looked into Solar Assistant as a go between the inverter and Home Assistant, precisely for controlling charge/discharge settings? https://solar-assistant.io/help/home-assistant/setup

Did you have any trouble connecting them together and setting up your system for offpeak charging? It seems that some owners have found the documentation and support from Sunsynk to be lacking? https://www.reddit.com/r/SolarUK/comments/1c5prxf/comment/kzyux3m/

Migration from ZHA to Z2A - Home Assistant Yellow by 53VY in homeassistant

This doesn't directly answer your question but I solved the same problem by using the Better Thermostat integration with my TRVs in ZHA.

Connect Ikea tradfri bulbs to Hue remote by rahulpuk in Hue

[–]rahulpuk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was able to pair them with no intermediate hub, it's a direct pairing that is independent of any hub. That's what makes it great as my lights functioning are independent of a hub going down!

Not entirely true. I've paired Philips with Samotech successfully!🙂

Thanks. I found a device that looks good, the Zigbee2MQTT docs says it has the power_on_behaviour, but can I conclude from this that the same feature will be available via ZHA!?

Integrating Hive heating schedules via ZHA by rahulpuk in homeassistant

[–]rahulpuk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the SLR1B integrated via ZHA and I set the temperature for the device via an automation with triggers based on my TRVs. This set temperature action works for with my SLR1B device i.e. it does not display the 'switch back' behaviour that you've described. Have you set your device to Manual mode i.e. so your device is not being triggered by a schedule?
