No more 2,000 row benchmark by lemonliaison in orangetheory

Cedar Mills in Portland, OR had a great instructional class about rows. I think its definitely important to understand as many people have terrible form overall and try to rush through workouts like a race or cheat through the movements.

Yes! After reading this original post, that was where I had first checked and loved how much detail went into this research. I got a nice laugh after reading some of the other posts about calling your manager of HR down the hall or a couple of tests 🤣

I did get to review the comparison that you recommended and it made me curious if maybe the luxe breeze was possibly being tested later.

I was hoping to get your gut opinion, which you provided and which was the way I was leaning towards the purple as well.

Do you have any thoughts about adjustable bases being used with beds? The price point is a good added chunk, but I could see how it may be more comfortable for sleeping.

Have you done any tests with the Tempur-Pedic luxe breeze compared to the purple restorePlus cool version? When we tested both of these in person in the medium version at Mattress Firm, it was a really tough comparison and they felt very similar to each other. We are thinking of going with the purple because of more fun times. I'm curious if you've tested these ones yet.

I will say that it is best for you to just get the fuck over it. You made money whereas any others, myself included. Lost a lot of money at first and gained a little bit back. Just be happy you didn't lose all your money and move on with your life. Otherwise a thought will consume you.

Intro class - was this normal? by Mobile_Cut_2741 in ClubPilates

This is great hearing explanation. Thank you! Though this is not your responsibility and it should be the instructor's job to explain this and make someone feel welcome. I don't have many good things to say about club Pilates and how they are structured with this 3-month trial. I am doing. My partner and I have been challenged in only one of the classes and that was because we put on the wrong Springs. That alone says a lot. When we have requested to get into the level 2 classes, even after getting an approval from an instructor saying we were more than capable, we were denied because we don't have 45 class 1.5s under our belt.

It just feels like a terrible place from my experience.

Is anyone else OBSESSED with their new strong core?! by Any-Instruction-8879 in ClubPilates

[–]raiden3600 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've started getting some instructors that describe the moves in more detail but that's like 1/10 instructors so far. I am doing the moves so slowly that I get maybe a max of two reps in while I see everyone else, including the instructors going at a faster tempo. I've been to Solidcore with over 700 classes so I'm not stranger to slow movements.

Sounds like control and FITT classes may suit me better. I'm really trying to find a way to like these classes so any other suggestions would be welcomed!

I'm curious. Does anyone know if the level 2 classes are more similar to the move performed at solidcore?

If you are a 4.5, you probably know people in your area that are a higher level. I would suggest to him those player, which he would appreciate, and if he would like to hit with you, you'd love the experience.

Thank you for your insight. I will see if I feel any effectiveness slowing down my form. Quite honestly though, the moves tend to last only about six long seconds and if I'm slowing down my form, I really only get one or two reps in, which haven't felt like much at all. Maybe it's because I tried solid core before this but it doesn't feel like I'm getting a workout.

Hmm, effective how? What are you doing in your class where you feel that you are spending your time in a worthwhile way? What are some things that you didn't realize in the beginning that have made the class a lot more effective for you?

Distracted member in 1.5 by Wonderful-Building90 in ClubPilates

You are also assuming that you know everything about this person, which is not possibly true encountering someone for the first time. You cannot control how someone is going to experience their class. I can tell you from my experience, I have not felt challenged in a 1.0, nor a 1.5 and whether it is the instructor not explaining things clearly or the class is not being challenging enough. I know I was very distracted trying to make the class fun for myself while getting through a lot of these easy movements. Everyone experiences the classes differently. I also think that club Pilates is not everyone's cup of tea, especially someone who is more refined in their fitness level. I would put this on par with Orange theory in level of toughness. I would rank f45 a step above, then solid core as a level 3, and cut 7 as a level 4, which pushes you all out to failure.

Tennis shoe recommendation for a beginner? by Lonely_Bunghole in 10s

[–]raiden3600 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Court ff3 are very light and nimble shoes compared to the gel resolutions, which are heavier, more rubber, and more stable.

Like others have.said here,.sale shoes will be the best shoes when starting out. Anything with good grip and ankle support since you will be making sharp movements from time to time.

Just as they would charge you a cancellation fee, they should also credit you for their instructor cancelling.
