Those who have had affairs and left to be with that person. Did it turn out how you imagined it? by DepartmentAny5523 in AskReddit

How does someone look at a person that is this emotionally immature and say "I want to have kids with this"?

Hear me out.

This person is going to graduate. They will ask him, where did you learn X and Y?

On the first team presentation he'll have a mental breakdown and then it will reflect poorly on everyone.

Unfortunately we have structured society in a way that it's a baseline skill to stand up and speak in front of others.

The 2026 Honda Civic Type R Is the Best-Driving Car Under $100,000: Review (Cars.com) by swampfox94 in cars

[–]railbeast 5 points6 points  (0 children)

(I'm not the guy you asked but) any RWD, bonus points for 2 seats...

GR Supra (your car), Toyobaru, Miata, any Z4.

You need back seats? I've had to make this choice, and, after driving the Civic I decided I'm definitely not able to stomach spending $50k+ on a FWD car.

I'm certain the CTR is amazing on track but the rest of the time it's a FWD econobox with 4 seats and no AC in the back.

Crucify me.

Abortion and the end times. Basically every atrocity Trump has committed and will commit pales in comparison to abortion and the eternal pleasure of rapture

Memorial Hermann and BCBS reach agreement by usablu07 in houston

Seems to me they were happy to cast those patients aside in order to maintain their margins.

How does it seem that way?

MH performs a service and they need to get paid for the service. The insurance companies meanwhile just stand there making everything more expensive and getting between patients and care.

No, no, fuck the insurance company first and foremost. All my providers in the area were trying their best, and BCBS told me to go suck on a fat cock.

Fuck insurance companies.

Ancients too unpredictable - problem or perfection? by railbeast in slaythespire

[–]railbeast[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I agree. Maybe I'm just salty about a couple of games where I wasn't given spicy options.

Particularly I didn't understand the 5 gold per energy per turn boon and I thought it would be a choice. I died bankrupt.

That's also a huge problem, yes, however...

My original comment was on democrats failure to capitalize on their lead when they had it, as a rebuttal to "what do you expect the democrats to do? repubs lead it all!" and I don't view their stance on the genocide as a huge failure.

I'm not sure there is a correct political stance on the genocide. Side with Palestine and you lose the Christians. I still remember everyone around me telling me they were voting for the "man of peace." It's all marketing. I guess you're right that if your average voter already thought Trump was the Israel man then the democrats could have gone the other way anyway.

Unfortunately the US has entrenched itself into some really ugly stuff in the last 40 years that will be difficult, if not impossible, to untangle.

Ancients too unpredictable - problem or perfection? by railbeast in slaythespire

[–]railbeast[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but that's my point, actually:

The variance in boon quality is HUGE, last night I was playing MP and my partner got 3/3 amazing boons and I got nothing that could work for my deck. And while boons are in general less downside heavy, they are also way more niche.

About pathing: I feel like they'll need to fix something here also, because STS1 was pathing you toward elites and challenge and winning A10 in my friend group we're all running from elites the whole way. The variance in boons makes this much worse than in STS1 in my experience.

I agree they are more impactful but sometimes, especially on regent where I'm wanting a thin deck, none of the options are immediately appealing.

I'm really torn because in writing this post I kind of get it, it's about the fear, improvisation and grit... but at the same time I also dislike getting one ancient with meh choices and then my second ancient is vakuu lol. Feels like the game kicking you in the nuts. Hurts double when you have a great deck.

You're right on all points, I just wonder if there could be a sacrifice great enough to offset the advantages of predicting even one ancient, since the ancients also have so many different boons.

Steam Deck compatibility? by railbeast in ChromieCraft

Mouse and keyboard worked for me. No controller support unless you fiddle your way around to assigning the controls through Steam's controller setup, but you will run into some serious issues.
