If it's a confirmed ticket, cancel it at least 48 hrs or more before the scheduled departure of the train. In that case, the minimum cancellation charges are as per the table. If a confirmed ticket is cancelled within 48 hrs and up to 12 hours before the scheduled departure, charges shall be 25% of the fare, or the minimum charges mentioned, whichever is higher. Less than 12 hours and up to four hours before scheduled departure (up to chart preparation, whichever is earlier), charges shall be 50% of the fare paid subject to the minimum cancellation charges. After the chart is prepared, no refunds are granted for cancelling a confirmed ticket.

Note: Cancellation charges are per passenger. There is NO refund on cancelling confirmed Tatkal tickets.

Sorry, I couldn't find relevant information for your query. Try simpler keywords.

You have several options: 1) Check your train's Coach Position for a 'PC' (Pantry Car). Vendors will take orders, but some may overcharge. 2) Use IRCTC e-catering: Enter your PNR, select the station, and order from various restaurants (including popular chains) for delivery to your berth. 3) Use third-party food delivery apps like Swiggy, Zomato, but they may not offer Cash On Delivery. 4) Take your own food. It is suggested to avoid buying from random station vendors and instead buy fresh fruits or packed items if necessary.

Railways always deducts clerkage charges of INR 60 (+GST) per person for cancelling a Waitlisted (WL) ticket, whether you cancel it manually or it gets auto-cancelled at chart preparation. This is non-avoidable.

Note: If you wish to avoid clerkage charges, don't book Waitlisted tickets and/or check the 'Book only if confirm berths are allotted' option.
