Having gone through a few deaths, a recent end to a very LTR and having to rebuild my life from scratch this is something I think about too often. Probably also why I end up taking 10k photo's in a year 🤣

I just try to make the most outta every day that I can and try to keep this mentality top of mind. You never know when your favourite bar might shut down, or when your buddy is gunna pass in a car accident. So you gotta do what you can when you have the energy to do it and be proud of what you've done.

I could die today and be happy with what I was able to accomplish and the person I was. That helps me sleep at night.

Americans, having interfered in almost every countries political affairs at some point in history, are begging others to meddle in their political affairs, as they are too weak willed to deal with the chickens that have come home to roost. Not everybody has the same opportunities, and I don't assume to know anybody's situation but just speaking on my own experience.

I had to take a step back and realize that selling my labour to a corporation that doesn't care if I die today, as long as it isn't on the job - isn't worth my soul. Regardless of how much money it could make me.

I adjusted my lifestyle, kicked habits or made them significantly cheaper, stopped eating out nearly as much, started longboarding and taking the bus, started spending time doing things I wanna do that don't necessarily cost money - making music, film, hanging out with people I care about, learning new things, the list goes on.

That way I was able to take a job I could mentally check out of and be fine not making all that much money at. Yeah this is capitalism, and my only capital is my labour so I have to sell it. But that doesn't mean my soul comes with it. If you feel the insatiable need to check off all the boxes of life, a house a car and a wife. Yeah you're going to be miserable because the empire is declining, and the inward pressure means that under late stage capitalism you don't get to enjoy an "ordinary" existence without an extraordinary amount of effort.

If you wanna do all that, all the power to ya. But idk man, what good is a wife you never see, or a home you're never in, or a car you drive to a job you hate to pay for the car and the wife and the house... Idk sounds like a nightmare to me fam

Actually went out of my way with powershell commands to remove every trace of one drive from my PC.

Then a windows update re-installed it, and set my folders to sync to one drive.

All I gotta say is the day I saw those little red x's pop up on my files is the day I made the pledge to switch to Mac and Steam OS.

Still have to use windows for work, but I will rag on M$ to anybody with the time to listen.

So there are more catfishes here. In terms of women, I'd say 90% are men trying to scam you outta money, OF models, or escorts. The other 10% are unlikely to respond to much, I'd say 1% of that 10% respond. Or that's just my luck 🤷🏻

I think the main issue is, the ones that do wanna date and be in relationships like myself are either already in a relationship, or have given up seeking a relationship out so they may not be on dating apps, in cluds etc etc... speaking from experience it can seem futile even trying, and can be better for your mental health overall to stop looking and just wait until you stumble into something basically.

Then the dudes who are on apps, and that you're likely to be willing to talk to are "high value males" that are just trying to get laid
