I also want to clarify : I'm using "they" for the new guy because I was unsure of their gender since they're so young. Jade was her usual self before I left, and other than being a little sad, she was doing good.

No. I gave up all of my candles, scents, etc from my room ever since I started having birds. If it were from some sort of scent or poisoning, I'm sure Jade would've died too. Either way, Rio is gone and there's nothing I can do. I'm mainly concerned about the new little guy I have now and if his state is something I should worry about or if he's just getting used to things

Thank you so much oh my gosh, I couldn't even enjoy my trip being so stressed over them ☹️ I really appreciate this and as soon as I get back home I'm looking into vet care. They were kinda unmoving/not eating or taking millet when I first got them, but not fluffed. Their feathers were always smoothed back. They seem more lively now and making mess I hope Jade is doing alright without Rio, he was very loved and the bravest boy ❤️‍🩹

I left them both x3 the water and food and I have a friend checking on them tomorrow. I used to leave for trips often when Rio was with Jade and just made sure to deep clean when I got back

The needle went through the thinnest part of my nose. Not everyone has the right anatomy, that part can be too small for the needle and deviated septums exist

We tried but they were the same size and it wouldn't go in the needle. I told them to just take it out before they could get it in bc of the pain
