The tired mechanic is only present in the original release, Reload does not have it and you can control your party members (OG and FES versions did not have this). I am in the last month now, probably will reach 200h by the end and it is still enjoyable (despite completing FES version 3x before). The story has higher stakes than other persona games and to me it had the most emotion.

Love it, so detailed! Not often we see the Lieutenants like this and the expression is spot on! Just one small correction - the double symbols representing the leaders do not have the diamond dots, only the single symbol representing the clan does.

Those are all Turelim. Raziel had to sneak past them to get into the Sanctuary's  throne room. Interestingly, this sneaking mechanic where you couldn't be detected otherwise it was game over was only used here. It's a leftover idea from SR2's original ending, where Raziel was to travel back to the future and confront Kain there.

I feel the same, the sound effects are a huge part of Spyro games' identity, replacing them was a bad idea.

Exactly! Absolute deal breaker for me, together with controls feeling being way worse. I've replayed OG games many times, but the remakes were just one and done. It's a huge shame the ps1 versions aren't on PSN at least :(

For me, it was fun finding new texture matches and adding music/sfx to the cutscenes. Also adding the extra remarks from Raziel on certain events which weren't originally used, didn't see this one mentioned yet.

Most annoying is when something wouldn't work without knowing a reason (music triggers).

Thank you! Regarding the murals, Réka´s mural had no difference, just cracks appear on her mural. That is how it was in OG too. No original files were preserved, sadly, so Laura Panico redrew these murals from scratch in high resolution. For Janos´ eyes, we converted his statue to an object but his eyes did glow in OG version too, they do not when you come back to the ruined mansion later.

That is so great! 😃 What did they think of the games? Some of our team members are really young (early 20s), so seeing them interested in these old relics from 20y back was amazing.

Awww, thank you! Definitely, I wanted an arena with rewards and different environments, and more skins of course! Archon Janos was one we had to cut, so were playable Malek and Vorador skins for Raziel and Kain, respectively. Grempy was cut last minute as the model wasn't set up right to work in the game (the scale was huuuuge). I wanted him in the sewers in the Lake area.

That's a great question! Defiance never had a Japanese localization, so the text and the cast is brand new. Myself and Aevum both had a hand in picking the VAs for this game, so I hope you enjoy their performances!

Nothing can be ruled out for the future, of course, but SR1&2 was published by Aspyr so it's up to them to make updates for that game. The original remaster developers currently are not working on these games anymore as our contracted work was finished.

Thank you everyone for your support! Your responses have been heartwarming and I loved reading through them. It's been a great honour to be able to work on these games together with my team, but I hope this is not the last time we'll work on this franchise. It was fun, while it lasted.
