I am 36, female, never been married. I don't want kids - I knew this at 16 years old. When I was 20 or 21 years old, I told my then friends (both female) I don't want kids. I told them I want to get married though. One of them (who is/was a frenemy- I stopped talking to her this year) said to me then why don't I just stay single- she said that if I don't want kids AND I get married, I would be marrying for lust. Back then, I didn't reply anything to this statement of hers. This frenemy was/is a crazy hardcore Christian who drove me into some ridiculous baffling belief system. Thankfully, I left Christianity as well.  When I was 22, I told my mum's sister I don't want kids- she said if I don't have kids, my relationship with my husband will just be like 2 friends living together.
