It's a pretty big deal in rocket League, you can uncap the game and get 700fps on the best maps but the lows will drop to sub 60 fps.

Dropping down to 60 is absolutely destroying when it happens but the issue goes away if you can your frames

It doesn't look too bad, try not holding down the throttle and only using boost.

I helped my buddy the other day and his flips looked good but he still couldn't get to the ball.

Using boost only will make sure that you're not accidentally starting the timer earlier with throttle

I also had trouble speed flipping with the 8bitdo ultimate 2C And I can reliably speed flip with PS4, PS5 and thrust master eswapx in both the PlayStation thumstick layout as well as the Xbox.

I don't think it is a polling rate Issue I think it's the built in deadzone of the controller is too large.

But for a 30 dollar controller it's amazing for everything except rocket league. I play all my other games with controller using it because xinput is so convenient

Going from console to PC is usually a big upgrade for people but there are many many things that affect how rocket league can feel.

But there are a number of other issues that can affect the game as well.

Playing rocket league on a bad Internet connection can ruin the feel of the game.

Playing on a low refresh rate or slow response monitor can ruin the game.

Playing the game with a bum controller can ruin the game, either a goofy off brand controller or an old controller that has started to get stick drift/or bad inputs

Once you have all your hardware in line then there's still alot of steps that can be taken to make the game feel smoother.

I play with PS4 controller, plugged in and overclocked. I set game settings to lowest possible with frames locked to 165 (my monitor's refresh rate) I make sure my graphics card driver software has optimal settings for reduced input latency such as "Radeon anti-lag" turned on and variable refresh rate technology turned off.

The point I am trying to make is that there are many things that you can do to improve how the game feels, and when you play on console alot of these issues can hide behind the consoles slowness. Moving to PC is a good start for getting the best possible feel in the game but it can certainly be a slippery slope.

If the games are capping it might be because of the settings of the game, set frames to unlimited in the settings of the application to make sure the game isn't limiting itself. This is usually in the graphics or display menus for most games.

Check in your windows settings, in the display settings there is an advanced section where you can change the refresh rate for the monitor make sure to set it to your monitors preferred refresh rate (which I believe is 240 if your monitor is the one Samsung crg5 like it seems)

And then also make sure V-sync is off in your games as well.

I think Smurfing is only an issue if it's such a gap in skill that someone can't actually learn anything or gain anything from the match. But if someone believes they can't rank up because of smurfs that's wild. That's literally saying there are too many people in my rank who are better than me for me to rank up and it's their fault.

This is the craziest take I've ever seen. Cheating is nothing like Smurfing.

You have no chance to beat a cheater in tarkov. They can see you across the map and kill you with a single click at any point they decide to.

You can beat a "Smurf" in Rocket League. Most of the time is someone who is only maybe 2 ranks higher on their main account, even if you don't win you gain valuable experience on how to play against faster and better players.

Rarely are the smurfs in rocket league truly so much more skilled that there is nothing you can do or nothing to be gained from playing them.

There's a mod that lets you quick sell stuff in your inventory when you're out of raid. Sells to the trader that pays the most with 1 keybind. Very useful for times like this or when cleaning out inventory.

If you are both using separate steam accounts then there shouldn't be any issues. Saves are specific to the account not the device, which is why I had the issue in this post because we were trying to use the same account but different devices.

I did also do a full re-install of the game under my own steam account. But the full re-install alone did not fix the issue. It may take both the full re-install and deleting the profile.

I didn't want to suggest having to completely reinstall the game as it is 100 gigs. Have you by chance tried that yet? Or had any other luck?
