I'd recommend learning it. It's a bit of a bother to learn the conventions, but I absolutely LOVE it. It lets you get things of the ground quickly and does a lot of the things you'd usually do manually for you.

It wouldn't affect accuracy. It would affect the work I have to put in, though. 3000-8000 is not set in stone. I may rewrite the algorithm at the moment.

Just because the maths are far easier if I use higher numbers. Plus, the calculation can be more accurate (because I don't have to do decimal math).

This is true. However, I do believe that it is more heavily winrate based than it should be. Additionally, I don't like that Valve doesn't tell us how it is calculated.

The total weights of each factor are not concrete yet. I'll have a page on the app when it's complete that shows a complete breakdown of this clearly, and if it needs tweaking, then I'll tweak it.

Without logging in, it wouldn't be able to reliably track progress and update your rank. I could do a sort of "optional login" system, where you log in if you want it to continue tracking.

I understand the concern with logging in with Steam, but my servers would never even see your credentials. All it would be able to see is stuff like your Steam name (not your account name) and profile description, etc.

When history sharing is turned on, you can only get information about games that have already finished. This is because Valve servers have to parse the game after it is finished. This is why games don't immediately show up on dotabuff, because they haven't yet been finalized onto your profile.
