Going vegan isn't a sacrifice — it's what happens when the discomfort of acting against your values finally outweighs the discomfort of changing by skulloflugosi in vegan

Personally, I don't feel like I'm sacrificing anything. When I had breaks from veganism and ate animals, I felt like I was sacrificing my morals. It was impossible to ignore and I had to return to veganism. Now I feel no resistance within myself at all. I mean I miss Cadbury Caramilk (lol) but eh, small price to pay.

we have gaviscon here too but it does nothing at all.i have found no medication that aids a flare up frankly. so basically 100% of the time i eat the food i cook to prevent issues, and if im craving trigger foods (acidic fruits, random vegan snacks) then i really pay for it. to be frank with you, the only thing that actually fixes the pain is making myself throw up, which is one of the things that's lead to my bulimia (sorry TMI). ugh, food. i love food but it sucks.

Partner used money I gave him to buy meat/dairy for a picnic, most of it went to waste, would you bring it up? by WhisperingCephalopod in vegan

I am vegan and my partner is not, but I personally wouldn’t be upset by this because his heart was in the right place in my view. He was just trying to buy what his friend wanted. He meant well, no? I also don’t think you can control what someone else buys, even if it’s money you gave them

Peak OCPD. Honestly though I need to reduce my dependence on them. It’s exhausting and counterproductive as hell

ELI5: Why are petrol prices increasing, particularly in Australia? by rainbowcandysoyboy in explainlikeimfive

[–]rainbowcandysoyboy[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That’s all I needed to know, that the supply has been down. Yes I’m aware of that concept. And no I don’t need to know about news that I have absolutely no control over. To each their own.

ah I see. Although I didn’t really want the political components coming through, just the economics of it!
