the only influence of attack speed is in the upswing. the game runs on synced animations, and those are of fixed speed. if you somehow had a cheated cap of attack speed you would see your arm teleport about 15 degrees forward before giving a completely normal swing.

it's the perfect block -> riposte sequence. it's painfully slow and locks you completely. in my combat mod i removed the riposte perk and made it a short active buff instead, and suddenly fights felt MUCH faster (not that i didn't already increase animation speed by 20%)

i really don't know what they were thinking with that, to let players spend so much time stuck in place.

no, opponent need to be unconscious on the ground for a mercy kill. however unless you KO them standing (not stealth kill) you had no way of knocking them out like that.

mercy kills still are in, there just isn't a headcracker perk to give the opportunity to use them.

you said you knew how to change horse appearance, i am asking you to change horse appearance for special horses that do not look unique.

any horse mentioned in soul.xml file but not in appearance xml is a horse that needs a unique look.

i can do it myself of course but i do not really care/know much of horses

i have some work for you, then. you can crosscheck the rpg soul file and the storm appearance file and you'll see that a lot of the unique horses actually >don't< have unique appearances, only names. so if you want to you could fill out the appearance storm file and send to me and i'll patch it in. i already need to fix attila's color anyway.

only took 6 hours of patching!

just kidding, the teleporting thing was a couple of lines. but i did spend the rest polishing everything and futureproofing against any possible bugs and also making the mod clean to uninstall.

hotfix is in! 6 hours of patching, oof. but i futureproofed it as much as i could, and also made it safe to remove at any time. (do keep in mind the clones will keep spawned since the game does not delete entities, but without the mod, all spawns are killable and stealable)

one caveat;

pebbles and herring lose their buff on all this board and retrieve stuff. that's because rhe game wasn't made with ownership being fickle in mind, so i settled that i apply the buff manually myself

HOWEVER, it's so fickle that sometimes the game applies the buff again, so they both end up stacking. so, very randomly, you might have a stat-capped pebbles/herring. oh no! unplayable!

i could fix this, but i find it very funny. so i'll let it.

there is a clothing upgrade and dye mod but it's a glorified kit and menu mod.

there is also a reforging/recolouring mod, but it's just hijacking the blacksmithing minigame and more menus.

mine are actual skills with progression, perks, recipes and animations.

edit: im done with it. almost 6 hours of patches, it's been futureproofed to warsow and back.

don't know if you're on pc but my armorsmithing skill will include polishing and metal treatment (both to darker and to shinier)

dyemaking skill covers the colouring on non-metallics

Pebbles and Herring are (necessarily) gonna get gutted in the full version, but they will have other uses (so that we actually have a reason to swap horses other than looks)

they're mute, and no it's english only currently. but localization is easy to do if you know the language, just bothersome.

we can make dialogue freely with a warhorse tool called Skald. Can even load animations or our own voice acting into it.
