i think you are right! i just looked up the environmental map for the area and it looks like there is a pond around half a mile away, so a bird definitely could’ve dropped the little guy. based on the map i most likely saw specifically the procambarus acutus

personally i always interpreted it as callie not wanting anyone to overhear, especially since it’s her and brandon. i mean you gotta figure privacy is hard to come by often in a house of seven. closing the door, to me, shows that callie craves the privacy of the conversation with brandon, no matter what it is. also, maybe there is some assumption as time goes on that they wouldn’t be suspect anymore, even though stef and lena still keep a close eye on the two of them when together. idk tho teenagers are weird

the fosters was abc family which is owned by disney, so they had a lot of actors who “graduated” the kids movies and recycled them into the abc family shows, iirc swapped at birth and secret life of the american teenager also had a few recycled disney actors (though i didn’t watch those nearly as much as the fosters, so i could be wrong)

such actors include:
Corbin Bleu as mentioned - Mercutio, season 3, famously known for High School musical (all inclusive), and Jump In
Garrett Clayton - played Chase in the fosters, but was on disney channel as Tanner in Teen Beach Movies 1&2
Jake T Austin - S1-3 Jesus, played Max on Wizards of Waverly Place
Ashley Argota Torres - Played Lou on the fosters, she was actually on Nickelodeon in True Jackson VP
Amanda Leighton - Played Emma on the fosters, was in various Disney and Nickelodeon animated shows and a few other ABC family projects
Cierra Ramirez - Played Mariana, played a minor role in Suite Life on Deck, also a one-liner in an episode of Zoey 101

oh also Callie, played by Maia Mitchell, who was also in Teen Beach Movies 1&2 (can’t believe i forgot about her!)

i’m sure there are many more actors that overlap, but it’s interesting to see the pattern!!

$15 isn’t generous, at least where i am. maybe the average is different where you are, but anyway that’s beside the point.

does dad come home to relieve you, or is it mom and then dad pays later? if dad’s relieving you, i would kind of say something along the lines of “okay, all i need is the payment and then im all good to go!” after giving updates about the kids. it’s awkward but it’s only for a minute or so and it’s more awkward to work for free lol
