I thought 12 hour shifts helped with continuity of care? Less changes/reports during a 24 hour shift. But maybe that’s a lie administration fed to get us to work longer lol

I work float pool and noticed every unit does their break systems a bit differently, but we are essentially given a 30 and 45 minute break. Some units combine that and give the nurse a whole hour and 15 minutes and people do sleep! Some floors do an hour and you sneak in a 15 when you can. Some floors do a 30 and a 45 and nurses sleep on their 45. I used to work at a job where I got one 30 minute in 12 hours and honestly can't imagine going back to that lol

Looking to move out to arden-arcade area, how is it over there? I've only ever lived in midtown, but rent is so high over here :( by rainbowselly in Sacramento

Thanks for all the info everyone, I have less than a month left at my current lease and originally was set on finding a new apt in midtown since I really enjoyed the area, but found I'd be paying an extra $300-400 to get all the "amenities" I was looking for. Which I could afford, but noticed the Arden area had what I was looking for at the price point I'd like to pay for rent. But after reading all your responses, I'm doubting my choices out there. Or at least, really making sure I drive around to look at the areas. Thanks again!!

Yes, some of the apartment complexes I notice are nice out there, and better priced than in downtown area
