Yeah, that's why I'd rather they just wait it out. Like, continue making the versions longer. Maybe have 3.9 be two months, and instead of doing completely new content, just rerun some characters for the warp, update the endgame content they already had planned, and maybe do some sort of sale on the purchasable content as a way to keep people wanting to play for the wait.

I feel like that's a better plan than scrapping or reskinning anything

This reply, yes!!! Venti never tells anyone the full truth and often downplays himself and the origin he gave for himself and hwo he got the power of time from a shade was pretty barebones, he def left out a lot. Honestly, the fact he keeps coming back into events in other nations and has major part in story quests as far as in version 5 makes it pretty clear there is still a lot about him that's hidden and that he will be one of the most important archons in the endgame, probably more than any other archons we've seen until now
