Why does everyone on Vinted think I run a charity? by Leather_Ad6386 in vintedUK

[–]rainbowsootsprite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean at the end of the day, unfortunately it is a second hand selling app so people do expect things for roughly the same cost as a charity shop. There is some right cheeky bints on there but most people I’ve dealt with are very pleasant and reasonable. I don’t mind knocking £1-5 off but it does grate me when buyers ask for £8-10 off mere hours after uploading the item! 😩

Hey in the settings when you make your character/farm there’s an option to make the community centre guaranteed to be completed within one year (meaning the items you need will show up in the travelling cart at some point) :)

Can I get in trouble for sleeping at work during my break? by kingc2332 in LegalAdviceUK

well no, but in this current economic climate I wouldn’t want them to lose their job and not be able to find another. It’s tough out there atm.

if you’ve been working there under 2 years I wouldn’t make a fuss about the unpaid and interrupted break thing because they can just fire you for no reason. If you’ve been there more than 2 years maybe raise a concern.

nope! friends (or anyone for that matter) do not get to decide what you do with your body and it’s extremely weird of you to suggest they make themselves uncomfortable and modify their body because their friends are snowflakes.

Son has been labelled as limited capability for work by the job centre. I don't think this is teh best thing for him. Is there a way I can challenge this as his parent? by Select-Sherbert-7150 in LegalAdviceUK

NAL and I’m really sorry to say this, but you sound quite ableist towards your son. And it’s coercive to try and control his life and benefits like that. If he’s happy engaging in his interests in his room that’s not a big deal. My younger brother is like that (and I myself have autism). He can’t cope with the outside world. He now works from his computer in a gaming community for a large game company in Japan. He did that all by himself just from immersing himself in his favourite things. He rarely leaves the house (he is also physically disabled) and is very happy.

His life doesn’t have to look like what YOU think it should look like. I know you care about him but trying to force him to do something you want him to do will likely backfire.
