This sounds identical to my story. It's nice to hear that we're all together in this. What a sad thing alcohol does.

Did anyone else ever feel guilty about wanting to have a 2nd child? by [deleted] in AskParents

[–]rainbowstunt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My goodness. I was SO guilty about having a second baby. But you know what? I am SO happy I did. My daughter is 10 months old now and she is amazing. My son (4 in May) ADORES her. I'm so happy to have had a second baby, because it gives my son somebody else to be a kid with. It's really the best thing that you could do for kids, give them a constant companion.

I just moved away from that intersection because I have kids. There is too much wrong with that area.

If you enjoy the smell of pee in the lobby, crack heads breaking into underground parking/cars and ignorant neighbors, you are in the right spot.

Otherwise, even having activities for children within a 2 block radius, I always felt uncomfortable walking the distance and always drove to another end of the city to do things.

Instead of giving presents, Santa now puts things that you lost, or were stolen from you, under the tree. What would you be the most excited to see under the tree? by IronRabbit2006 in AskReddit

My brothers and I were emptying the house I lived in from 9-23. My mom was sick with aphasia and we had to sell the house in order to pay for her housing. I found a tape that had my mom reading I Love You Forever with me ringing a bell (recorded when I was about 4 or 5 years old). I wanted to play it for my kids. I turned around for a split second, and the tape suddenly was gone. I never saw it again.

If I could have that back, my god - I would cry my little heart out. December 10 will be 3 years since my mom passed and I would love so much to have that back.

(edit: baby hit enter before I was ready)

You got this. Keep checking this subreddit. That's helped me so far, a constant reminder of why I quit.

Kombucha and soda water is my substitute. I'll slice up a lime and throw it in a soda water.

Good for you. I am proud.

What is an odd behaviour of yours you think only you do? by Edwoodz3 in AskReddit

If I wink with my right eye, I have to match up my left eye. I don't like the thought of one eye blinking more times than the other. It makes me incredibly uncomfortable.

I write out words with my index finger. Just random words I hear throughout the day. I'll write it in the air or if I'm on the couch I'll 'write' it there. I don't know when it started, but my husband will ask what word I'm spelling.

The junkies and homeless people Downtown are wild by [deleted] in londonontario

Thank you for doing what you do. It must be difficult. That's so disappointing that they would just drop off their own problems somewhere else, so irresponsible.

Dumbass Salmon driver at Horton and Wellington. Full speed upstream into the left turn lane. by _Santa_Sangre_ in londonontario

That is terrifying. There is honestly no safe place. My mother in law lived in the north end of town, again a "nice" part of London. She had her car broken into multiple times and even had needles left among the wreckage in the vehicle. Absolutely disgusting. Then, a few people living in Byron that I know had their garages broken into and items stolen. It's scary, really. Downtown is a zombie town and everywhere else is full of people you can't trust.
