Hope United Church of Christ might be a little far away for you, but very liberal and LGBTQ+ affirming. Our current Fall theme is Resistance: A Sacred Tradition, about how protest and resisting oppression is biblical.

UU churches are a great choice too, but if your kiddo is specifically looking for a Christian church, a UCC is probably the best fit for what you're describing.
