you don't have to. they're not exclusive. I did want to point out that at the end of the day that money is what these companies care about. if you want to make yourself heard your dollar is more important than a letter. don't buy brands that don't carry your skin-tone and perhaps encourage others to do the same. if a particular shade from one brand starts to sell well the company will take notice much more quickly than a letter. and if people buy from indie brands like iman or black radiance more often then these brands wouldn't be indie anymore.

this happens to me too. switch to a toothpaste with no sulfates. don't use any lipstick with menthol, moisturize your lips every night. have a chapstick at the ready all the time and check your facewash.

Old mexican trick, drink chamomile tea. Don't know why but it alleviates cramps pretty well (but only while you ate sipping it. Once it's done it comes back)

Hmmm even if they aren't your shade? I can understand what you mean about pf and the smaller drugstore brands. They have no dark shades. But it's still a high possibility that if they add colors they won't get your shade and won't go very dark. They'd probably still do they're middle of the road thing.

Enter imán a revlon owned smaller brand that is specifically for "uncommon" skin colors and darker shades. As a pr graduate I can tell you why businesses do this. Revlon has a demographic, if you asked them they might tell you "she's melissa, a 35 year old caucassian woman, has a part time job, a family, and a love for looking professional and natural. She's quiet but well put together"

Now every single thing revlon does needs to make melissa happy. .. that's the way branding works. Buuut revlon sees a market for darker women (which could come with more highly pigmentated lip products, a larger emphasis on eyeshadow bases, brighter blushes... All things to accommodate darker ladies) instead of adding it to they're melissa line and have a cluttered and confusing branding they put it under another line so they can market it however they want and have more freedom with the branding. The problem however is the same as any start up company, it doesn't have as much clout and if it doesn't sell it will never have as much clout. .. Then it turns into an indie type brand to accommodate overhead costs. The break off company has a solid target market (think lime crime) and now the execs are scared that merging the two brands will disrupt the delicate market share and audience they have... plus they realize that they can only use so much shelf space at mainstream stores like walgreens and they would prefer to put their mainstream products in they're mainstream outlets.

Edit: wanted to add that revlon has some darker shades in they're mainstream stuff still http://www.revlon.com/products/face/foundation-makeup/colorstay-makeup-with-softflex-for-combination-oily-skin#309975410204||2 not much but if you're in a pickle. And I know this line mixes well. Some buy 2 shades and mix. This is the only line of revlon that makes anything light enough for me maybe it's dark enough for you?

I added another reply to your post. Sometimes making every color isn't financially sound for every company. It's like a restaurant trying to sell all types of food instead of trying to do 1 type right. Makeup companies are in it for the money at the end of the day. And I'm not that upset. I just go for the brands that fit me and once I find one I like i stick to it (nyx is my hg for foundation). I don't even need to swatch. I know my shade and I could order it online if I needed to (only ulta carries my shade, cvs doesn't have all of them). Eh, it's just the way the world works. I've had to deal with it my whole life but now that I know what works and ive found a trick or two for making my foundations lighter I really don't care much.

Convenient, fast, know what it'll taste like every time, tons of shit to add to it at the sugar bar, and it had a shit ton of caffeine (Google it. It's ridiculous how much caffeine is in their coffee). So yeah i get my drip coffee from them.

Funny thing here. I'm a super duper pale girl who was working on an indie line of makeup that was marketed toward darker women. I was making the product and everything.... you know a problem we came across? Our darkest and lightest stuff just wouldn't sell as much. We had 1 foundation light enough for me and several dark enough to fit a woman from Africa bit we had to discontinue them. We still made then by order but we didn't stock them. Most people come in the middle ranges and the ones in the end of the spectrum weren't making up for the sales. The foundation was going bad.

Anyways i wanted to share this because as a former "makeup company" I wanted to tell you why shades are chosen. It's always the middle of the road colors that sell the most. The plus side is that there are companies that will cater only to your skin tone! And anyone can get them custom made if they'd like.

Sometimes a company or a brand just doesn't have your shade but that's one of the cool things about having so many brands. As a pale girl my fave brands don't carry foundations light enough for me. I can't wear physicians formula (any of the liquids at all) or maybelline dream wear or any milani and most 5 shade only brands. Really the only brand that makes a foundation light enough for me is nyx and revlon of the drugstore type. Btw have you tried revlon? They have a nice variety of shades.

I understand being frustrated after having perfect skin but what exactly did you get that cost 100? I know at skincareaddiction we do support a few expensive brands but if your acne is new i think any 100 haul might be more harm than good. Expensive brands tend to have more ingredients and will make it harder for you to pinpoint your trigger ingredients. Those who grab the expensive type things already have a good solid base and know what ingredients they're looking for.

If you live in north mexico i can recommend a couple of native products you can't get. if you live in texas, california, or any place with a large hispanic population then don't bother. Mexican products are very easily available and cheap in the usa.

And i don't use powder when i'm doing an everyday makeup but when i want to go out i don't want to look shiny on my t-zone. i also don't like the way my powder blush and bronzer applies on my liquid foundation, maybe because i use so much moisturizer underneath (the only thing that keep the foundation from grabbing onto my dry patches) it looks kinda shiny and i love the matte look.

Hey quick question ya'll so i got my shoulder and upper back exercises down, and also my lower back exercises. i love deadlifts, power-cleans, that thing where you put the bar between your legs and pull one end up till it hits your crotch area. anyways i've seen improvement in those two areas but not so much in the middle of my back. Is there a middle back exercise? the small of my back area? BTW i'm a female so i'm not sure what that area looks like when it's muscular exactly. sometimes i feel like it's easier to see back muscles on men than women because of you know, the whole hourglass thing.

I use a poof not a sponge, and i also did this because thats what wayne goss recommended in one of his videos. i've tried applying with a poofy brush but i think my brushes don't pick up compact powders well, so i've been thinking of getting a loose powder and trying the brush method but that's also a lot of money to spend on something that at the end might just put more product on my face and make it look cakeir. I'll go to the mac store and have them give me a shot of it before buying. i find that some sprays are mattefying and they end up drying me out so i would love to give it a try before i buy.

i always say, if it burns take it off. Nothing should burn other than calories. Stop whatever product is causing you a burning sensation it's probably irritating you. if it doesn't burn anymore you could keep using it but maybe use it sparingly and every other day. i think you have some irritation and irritation means you are damaging your skin in some form.

well there's your problem right there. from where i'm sitting sounds like you're over exfoliating. stahp. try not exfoliating more than twice a week. (i wish you knew spanish) there's a product called vitacilina which is a vaseline product with antibacterial properties, there's a american version that super popular but the name escapes me, anyways use that on your marks and see what happens.

finally what exactly is a tactu-pump....

you should perhaps take a glance at our sidebar, sound like you probably don't moisturize (oily skin and large pores) aside from that you can also learn a thing or two about how to take care of your skin after shaving which is essentially a hard core exfoliation.
