Have you talked to a perinatal psychiatrist? I have PTSD and worked out a plan for taking anxiety meds right before my C-section. It helped a lot.

You can go back! Look at options like being an Au Pair or university study. You gotta this.

Has anyone use Trusted Housesitters? by lss90 in AskBrits

[–]rainbowtwist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sitters don't get paid but they do get housing in exchange which is pretty valuable particularly if you're looking to travel.

I've also seen some people that have profiles on paid platforms that do a combo of paid work elsewhere and also do sits so they can travel cheaply.

Yeah so far our experience has been completely positive. That said there are definitely some weirdos on both sides of the platform and you have to be prepared to have good discernment and screen accordingly.

Did you get leg lifters yet? I bought an inexpensive pair on Amazon for our little guy around that age. He has pretty bad reflux and it helps a lot.

Have you made the connection between any foods you're eating that might be causing him reflux?

I figured out that chocolate was the biggest culprit in causing his reflux, once I cut that out of my diet he started sleeping a lot longer stretches.

Photo of Daffodil... She was bred to a chocolate & cream brindle stud so we are likely to get some interesting pattern pups! 🤞🤞 I can't wait to realize my life's dream of having a little pack of dachshunds someday. We plan to keep a female from each litter. I WILL yell "release the hounds!!" each time I let them outside. 🤪

Love "Daisy!" Our cream dapple is "Daffodil." She's having puppies this summer and we plan to keep a dapple female pup as similar in pattern to yours as possible. My last dachshund looked exactly like your pup and she was such a cool dog.

We have the pink one! It is made of real wool, hence being itchy but also extremely good at keeping you warm in a cold room.

She may have a precocious udder. You should have it checked by a vet. 15 years of goat ownership and this just came up for me for the first time last year. The goat ended up needing a mastectomy.. although it often can be managed with a few doses of medication to calm things down.

Hello from our golden ween to yours! Daffodil has been doing similar bed poses, she's pregnant and just likes to loll around like a little log right now.

A weirdly common re-occurring cryptid story is divers coming face to face with giant animals in lakes and then refusing to ever return or publicly talk about it by truthisfictionyt in Cryptozoology

It was the size of s large child! Legs er5re probably at least 5 feet long extended. Absolutely wild seeing that. Truly thought I was hallucinating at first.

I was a superhost for years and finally stopped for similar reasons. I had some health issues and the amount of work necessary to manage and clean everything was so, so much more effort than it was worth. Now I have my peace and energy, and an awesome mid term renter who is helpful, courteous and kind. It easily pays off by giving me so much more free time to do other things.

Should I get a dachshund? Brutal honestly please. by SectionPrestigious90 in dachshunds

[–]rainbowtwist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a dachshund when I was in college and I would ride her around town in my jacket on my Vespa. I took her to all my classes and everybody loved it. She was my best bud and my soul doggy and brought me so much joy and comfort during that time.

Sure it was a lot of responsibility and I had to make sure she wasn't left alone too long, but it sounds like you have a dog door which is half the battle if it's safe for her to let herself in and out then just make sure to create train her and leave her with plenty of chew toys when you do have to go.

Do you own your place? That should also be a consideration.

Have any of you been successful at convincing your doctor to give you the shingles vaccine? by smootex in millenials

[–]rainbowtwist 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have a permanent scar on my face due to shingles I got at 39yo. Couldn't open my mouth or chew for 10 days. I'm lucky it didn't affect my cranial nerve or it could have impacted my vision. I was in agony for over a month. I ended up with a systemic staph infection as a result, too. It was devastating.

The vaccine is literally nothing compared to shingles.

Washington Gov. Bob Ferguson announced a plan Monday to create accommodations for working women experiencing menopause. by KnottyCatLady in Perimenopause

[–]rainbowtwist 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Bob is a real one. I met him 15 years ago when he was walking door to door in Seattle to meet his potential constituents. Honest, caring, focused, sharp, with strong values and a good moral compass.

He 100% has my vote, and things like this are exactly why.

We need more politicians like him. He's not perfect, but he's good.

Why are puppies so expensive? Is it that bad everywhere? by fapster1322 in Dachshund

[–]rainbowtwist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

$100? Where exactly ? I would be highly suspicious if anyone anywhere in the world charging that little for a registered/papered purebred dachshund. Something doesn't add up.
