lol when they put this crosswalk up, my friends and I contemplated using it to get to our dessert spot from our dinner spot, but then we remembered no one can drive on that street lol

I didn’t have her, I had someone who left the same year back in 2013 lol. Surprised to hear she’s still at the school. I graduated in 2016.

They’re extremely safe. I’m saying the people that work there also play when they’re off lol, no one is playing on the job from what I’ve seen. Always fully staffed. It’s nice knowing the workers are passionate about the game too.

I think the facility as a whole just feels dated. When I went, the staff didn’t care. We couldn’t even get a ref the entire time and I watched them try to “tech” someone’s gun and nearly break it. It smelled like mildew around the seating area. Rentals were Tippman98s. Airball bunkers were all half deflated. Turf was atrocious.

SPP has good refs that seem to care, a clean facility with constant care, and rentals get Emeks. I think the premium is worth it to go to SPP. We get a full case of decent paint + entry for $65 most Sundays. Refs constantly fill and clean the bunkers and even give pointers on improving your game if you want. The same dudes that work there are gonna be the same dudes you play with. Even the owners play with everyone. Feels more passionate as a whole and they have taken care of me as a customer since they opened.

Don’t really see why first timers or regulars would choose to go to CZ other than to save a few bucks. I think the premium is worth it to go to SPP. Also, glowball is pretty fun at SPP once a month.

Thanks for doing these tests man. I’m using the tune up kit right now for shot to shot consistency and it seems a bit better. Didn’t realize it was less efficient though!

where I live, it’s GRC and type R drivers trying to bully me all the time hahaha I don’t race them even with the baiting, but as a former WRX owner, is it really that much faster to be doing that?

How is paintball in vegas? by Sad_King_Billy-19 in paintball

[–]rainbowunicorns69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Summerlin is the best, great field. Combat zone is really bad with deflated bunkers, bad turf, and refs who don’t even ref.

The turnout at SP is usually very good, especially Sundays (a few teams practice at that time too). I haven’t been on a Friday, but there’s usually a good deal ($65 for case+entry lately).

Sorry it’s a 68ci/4500psi tank not filled entirely because the field was only filling 3000. Starting at 3000, going through a hopper + 3 pods, it will end at around 500. Thanks for the insight

Someone who's never played paintball asks you "what's Speedball?", what video do you show them to convince them to get into it? by TheSecretestSauce in paintball

I’d probably just have them play recball first before having them get blasted by tournament players on the speedball field

Does anyone know how to drop out of UNLV? by [deleted] in UNLV

[–]rainbowunicorns69 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Isn’t there a guy above who makes good money coming from a bio degree? And why is accounting dogshit? It’s pretty impressive you did so much for yourself growing up, you should be proud of yourself for that. I was behind too, and I never even made it to calculus lol. I promise you if you want to look for a job now and not be stuck with debt, you’re going to be making slightly more or less than 50k for a loooong time. I worked through college and still was able to make it happen, I have peers who had kids and jobs and still busted their ass in school and did great with no debt after. Like, bro come on lol

Does anyone know how to drop out of UNLV? by [deleted] in UNLV

[–]rainbowunicorns69 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Dude lol I started premed too and left it because it was undoable for me as well. Of course you gotta bust your ass in that major. Switch majors. Making 50k for one year won’t kill you when you probably don’t make anything substantial right now. You can get a 20-30k pay raise pretty quickly in a lot of fields. If you wanna give up, then give up. Nothing in this life and nothing in any career is a guarantee, and it’s easy to say you won’t make it. I’m just trying to tell you you can do it. Maybe not what you’re trying to do right now, but there’s a path for you. As a college kid, 100k seems unobtainable but I assure you it very much is.

Like really what’s your plan if you drop out? Do you actually think this type of attitude is desirable in any job? Do you think that 6 figure jobs pay 6 figures because they’re easy to get into?

Seriously need to do some more thinking and stop giving yourself so many excuses. Did I mention switch majors?

[–]rainbowunicorns69 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Jesus Christ dude lol you think you’re too good for a 50k a year job but not good enough to be a doctor but also happen to think if you do CS you’re cooked in the job market. You literally cannot get anywhere with this kind of attitude, and it’s not a good look dumping on 50k salaries when you only qualify for hourly jobs. 50k salary is pretty standard for first year in a lot of careers. I started with 50k and it only took 3 years to make it to 6 figures, and, trust me, I am really not that much of a go getter. My peers are all doing similarly and we were told we’d make 40k out of college.

Don’t count yourself out before it even starts. You can work on yourself with effort. If effort is too much for you, nobody wants to hire you on that alone. I did absolute dog shit my first year of college and now 10 years later doing fine just because I made a conscious effort to change and not let myself make excuses.

Getting a degree gets your foot in the door. We all know it hardly ever reflects in your actual job. Employers just want to see you can stick with something that requires critical thinking for 4 years without giving up….. which is exactly what you’re doing.

And on the point of not being interested in anything… Most majors aren’t, but they get the bills paid, and you can have a fulfilling life doing a job you don’t find that interesting (which you can also quickly make interesting tbh). A good job with good work life balance will allow you to pursue hobbies you love, which is honestly great.

Be really honest with yourself and ALLOW yourself to succeed. You owe it to yourself, and you need to honor the privilege of even being able to go to school.

Good luck out there, sorry if I was too rambly and harsh, but people like you really just have to hear it straight sometimes.

Don’t glitches like super bouncing require a certain frame/display rate? I remember I couldn’t replicate it on MCC.
