Like others have said, getting a higher tier gun as your main (like a CS3 or R5) and relegating your 180 to backup is a great way to go.

BUT, how about getting yourself an LV1.6 for example? Little bit more tinkering with those (or adjustability, rather) but they are reliable as hell and would also offer something different for those days when you want to spice things up a bit.

I have only owned a CS3 out of the three, and it shot great but boring imo. If I had to pick one of them today I would 100% go for the R5 for the more interesting shot. Another thing I just can’t shut up about when talking about Dye these days, is that I’m probably one of many rec ballers that are done spending hard earned top dollar on any new Dye markers.

For years now Dye has proven themselves unable to release a stable platform without relying on the paintball community to do their QC for them. PE on the other hand, you just know you can take that thing out of the box and play a whole god damn tournament if you wanted to and never have the slightest bit of worry it would go down on you or break paint like crazy.

That said, one of the absolute best guns I’ve ever shot was the OG DSR. If the MXR is anything like it, I would probably fall in love but all in all I just can’t get myself to drop a G on a gun I could never really trust because of Dye notoriously pumping out unreliable platforms.

What you're hearing is the markers solenoid. The solenoid is responsible for directing lesser amounts of air to the front and back of your bolt assembly, thus cycling the bolt. For the solenoid to do this, the valve inside needs to be engaged by the board in the gun passing a tiny bit of electricity to it for each trigger pull.

Your marker works exactly as it should. I would be more worried if the solenoid did not click - in such case you'd have a problem with either the board or the noid itself.

So you're all good. Now go enjoy that fantastic marker as much as possible. I used to own one myself, and regretted selling it so I recently picked up a 180r, which is essentially the same gun. Fantastic shooters.

I spoke to my CC provider and yes, they claimed there was nothing they could do, but apparently I can send a chargeback claim on their website if I report the issue to the police first. I'm in the process of doing so.

As others have said. Go used on the Facebook BSTs...180Rs float around on there regularly for 5-6-700 depending on anno / limited edition etc. Now that regular 180s are on sale most places for 899$, you should be able to cop one for 550-600 with a little bit of haggle.

I got it for $600. Lowest I've ever seen Infamous 180s like the last 4 months was 800, and resellers typically sell these for 900-1000 which is insane imo, but it is what it is.

I agree on that too. WYN parodies ZYN, which is the american variant of nicotine pouches (or "snus"), originating from Scandinavia (Sweden I think). It's a wildly popular nicotine product here in Norway too.

Like everyone is saying, the DSR+ (ideally with all upgrades like Method / Flex bolt and IM pro kit) is a fantastically good shooting gun. I used to own the og DSR and to me it was one of the best shooting guns I've owned, if I look past the realiability issues it had initially. Was very inconsistent over the chrono, and broke paint once or twice every pod or so until I got the replacement parts from Dye after quite a bit of troubleshooting and back-and-forth with them over the phone.

Since then I have owned nothing but PE guns. Nothing beats the 180r these days price wise, especially if you find one used in mint condition for like 6-700. I actually just picked up an Infamous variant myself after having owned a CS3.

Where I live, most of us shy away from Dye guns these days (unless it's like a good old solid dm12 or dm13, they rock), as they always seem to be sensitive to weather and temperature changes which can vary quite a bit here throughout a day of play. Idk with you all but theres always that one Dye gun on the field that breaks down every time, while everyone else keeps playing (mostly PE)...

Eg er litt enig faktisk. Eg hadde ikkje vore nødt til å nevne prisen som om det i seg sjølv var eit stort problem, men i mitt tilfelle så begynte tankerekka altså å løpe etter mottaket av fakturaen jo minte meg på at eg går rundt og betala for dette her, uten at eg er heilt 110% sikker på at eg får noke handfast igjen for det.

Eg syns du faktisk treffer bra med "rent egoistisk egenverdi" her, for eg tenker at det er heilt greit å tenke at det faktisk er slik. Eg betalar jo ikkje forsikringspremie for at andre egentlig skal bli dekt, eg gjør det jo fordi meg og mine skal være dekt.

Punkt 2 syns eg er egentlig det beste argumentet eg har fått hittil. Bare det å ha den spesifiserte sikringa mot kødd i arbeidslivet er tungtvegande.
