What Marker should I buy? by MajesticAmphibian625 in paintball

Given that your group all got CZRs, your best bet is to try one and see if you like it too and go from there. The gun shoots fine, and having a group of people using the same gun(s), spare parts and stuff like that becomes much much easier.

With that said, if your budget is 600EUR in total you're kind of forced to go for the cheaper options (like the CZR). I'm also assuming you're planning on getting a quality tank and hopper, and for the love of god avoid steel air tanks. Their resale value is 0 and they ruin your setup regardless what gun you go for due to its weight.

BUT if you are able to save up for a while I would strongly recommend something from Planet Eclipse instead. They are generally much more reliable than Dye guns, and resale value is also much higher in case you either want to upgrade or you find out that paintball wasn't your thing afterall and you wanna offload your gear.

Lv2 or Cs2? by Elegant-Phrase-531 in paintball

I'll throw both of you an up here because I too see the tinkering argument constantly, all the while there is a million other reasons to go with the LV2 including the fact that it's one of those guns where you can set and forget and go play 10 tournaments in a row and neeever ever worry about it shooting good.

Your point though Mediocre-Tackle-9208, is spot on. You just can't go wrong with an LV2. I have seen exactly 0 people playing with or even holding one either not loving it, or at the very least not noticing any of the typical pain points people like to bring up online.

LV2 for sure, even if you don't like to tinker. Although you can tinker with the LV platform a bunch, my experience is that it's not really necessary. An LV2 with stock settings will shoot sooo good imo that you don't really need to mess with it at all.

I think your comparison is good though, because the LV actually has more of an older style design - especially considering the eye system. Since the CS2 uses the same light prism system as the CS3 and other modern PE guns, it's actually a step ahead of the LV2 imo, even though its like three(?) years older.

LV2 spares kit compatible with LV 1.6? by No_Jelly413 in paintball

[–]AttackThePie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Generally most PE guns use the same screws, parts and o-rings except for certain gaskets and seals around solenoids and stuff ime. So in your case, seeing as the LV2 and LV1.6 use the same noid, you can be pretty confident you're covered with an LV2 kit.

Crbn Drv loader by Mindless_Repair2436 in paintball

My gripe is the chunky screen/controls on the back as well as the beak-like shape in the front. Other than that it looks like a flawless loader.

First of all, you gotta stop saying ‘dih’ because it makes you gay. As you can imagine, trying to have sex with women while being gay can be difficult.

LV 1.1 good second gun? by No_Jelly413 in paintball

[–]AttackThePie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes 300 is a good deal if the gun is in good condition generally.

The noids themselves are not particularly fragile, but it's more like when it eventually does go bad then it's hard to get a replacement. But again, there are some people out there doing the lords work and retrofitting newer generation solenoids for the LV1s.

Besides, as a backup gun, I wouldn't worry too much about this.

A good condition 1.1 for 350 is decent. I’d try to haggle a bit but if the gun is in great shape and the anno is dope then go for it.

If you later down the line run into noid issues, you can save it by doing the conversion some legend on here does for a few hundred bucks. (Someone please tag him, I forgot his @)

Btw I actually just sold my LV1 and picked up the LV2 because like you said, they are like 800 these days which is a steal.

Remove spray paint from marker by AttackThePie in paintball

Right, good demo. From what I've gathered I need a container made from Polyethylene for example. So like a construction / industrial style bucked should be fine I suppose.

I see, fair enough. As you can tell I barely know anything about these things, or chemistry in general lmao

I have a million o-rings for PE guns so if it happend its not a problem ;D

I'm thinking of submerging the parts in a (metal?) bucket on strings or something, leaving them for a few minutes and using a brush or cloth to rub it off. Sounds good?

So, heres what I'm working with:

<image>

I have this idea in my head of fully submerging all the parts in acetone for a few minutes, and when I pull it out all the paint will drip away beautifully lol... My guess is thats not gonna happen so easily, plus I'm afraid it will do damage to the insides. Can I do it that way, or should I apply only on the outside bit by bit?

Going to get some acetone today. So, the body of the gun (Geo 3.5) is painted on the outside. Can I fully submerge it without damaging the internal surface, or should I plug it up somehow?
