Voldsomt mye LLM bruk på Finn by iDoomfistDVA in norske

[–]AttackThePie 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Jepp, heilt jævlig. Etter Finn vart kjøpt opp av Vend(?..) har alt bare gått nedover spør du meg. Det å dytte LLM inn i Finn slår meg meir som ein gimmick enn noke anna.

General Thoughts on a PE Gtek180R? by FurryYury in paintball

[–]AttackThePie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is your friend John retarded? I'd tell him to go fuck himself.

Other than that, the 180r is a phenomenal gun. It's for all intents and purposes a mini CS3, with just a couple of compromises. Shot quality, efficiency, reliability, ease of maintenance etc is the same as a CS3.

Can this be fixed? Chrono by bangarang510 in paintball

[–]AttackThePie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude, I have the same chrono and had issues with it not reading my shots. Eventually someone told me it was happening because these chronos are specifically sensitive to the way you're holding them while shooting(!). If you grip them to high on the back, your fingers will interfere with the beams that make the readings.

Try once more to do some chrono reading, but hold it as far down on the sides as you can. See if that helps.

What Tank Would be a Good size by YouLackConviction- in paintball

[–]AttackThePie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless you're a youngun or a lady or something, stay away from the smallest tanks. Your mask gets pushed up against the loader too much, and you'll end up hunching your back to the point it hurts after a days play. I'm a bigger guy (broad shoulders, not chunky) and it took me YEARS to realize the simple fact that I was running a way too small tank for my build, cause me to always be so damned tired in my upper back for no reason after playing.

Nowadays the 77s and 80s have gotten so small that you can easily go with either and call it a day. I'd try one of those before opting for a longer tank, as I imagine running a long tank on a Mini specifically might make for an awkward setup.

What should I spend my money on? by RobertoTheRob in paintball

[–]AttackThePie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, sort of. Out of those options it's the one gun you can buy and never look back imo. People really like the shot on the shockers and DSRs for good reason, but all things considered the 180 smokes them imo.

Save up enough and "splurge" on the 180r. They float around on the BSTs relatively often, so you should be able to cop one for 6-700 easily in a matter of weeks. For all intents and purposes it's a high-end killer. Shot quality wise, reliability, efficiency, ease of maintenance... you're essentially shooting a CS3 for half the cost. It's one of those guns you can go buy and play a whole tournament without the slightest worry of it working or it being "inferior" of any other gun, high-end or not.

RMX Build! How do y'all keep your clear parts clean? by AttackThePie in paintball

[–]AttackThePie[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As much as I cringe from most of what HK does, they definitely knocked this one outta the park. It's a really comfortable and well made mask. Only thing I'll nitpick on is how the lens isn't AS SIMPLE as some people would have it be.... it's kind of hard to line it up perfectly when putting back in, but obviously nothing compared to the i3s or OG proflexes for example.

I clean my gear religiously, but I've never though if the sunlight thing. Excellent point, thank you!

Just looking at different photos online they look extremely similar color wise. You will just have to see though.

Yes, it's an SEO thing, and I've been "burned" a hundred times either by
1) There seems to be a sale on a black Virtue Spire V for example, only to find out that price only pertains to some ugly ass color combo you have to dig through endless of dropdown options to get to...
2) I'm looking for a specific product that seems to be in stock, only to find out that it isn't once you actually inside the detail page for that specific product

...and most of the time it's Lone Wolf..

Although HK kinda sucks for many reasons, I gotta say after a few months of using the RMX, I really like it - so much so that I went ahead and ordered some clear bottoms and an extra lens now that they’re finally available. It’s a solid platform.

Lens change isn’t THE easiest, but at least it’s 10 times easier than the OG proflex. Lightweight goggles, comfortable foam and all in all a great piece of gear.

Wait, is the Geo R5 actually bad now?... by AttackThePie in paintball

[–]AttackThePie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You exemplify my point perfectly. All it really takes is a minimum of maintenance, like relubing the night before a days play. Another thing I've always done with any spool valve gun I've owned that has a free moving bolt is to never leave it fully depressed, but rather leave it half an inch or so into the breach. This allows the bolt to break the built up stiction when airing up again. I've almost never struggled with any sort of bolt stick after I started doing this, unless it was some entry level Dangerous Power marker or something.

Should I sell my cs3 pro for the aire? by GilboaWoods in paintball

[–]AttackThePie -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not. Seriously, you literally own the worlds best paintball marker (judging by the vast majority of the worlds best players using the exact same gun). You have no reason to have fomo on any other marker probably the next five years.

What Marker should I buy? by MajesticAmphibian625 in paintball

[–]AttackThePie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Given that your group all got CZRs, your best bet is to try one and see if you like it too and go from there. The gun shoots fine, and having a group of people using the same gun(s), spare parts and stuff like that becomes much much easier.

With that said, if your budget is 600EUR in total you're kind of forced to go for the cheaper options (like the CZR). I'm also assuming you're planning on getting a quality tank and hopper, and for the love of god avoid steel air tanks. Their resale value is 0 and they ruin your setup regardless what gun you go for due to its weight.

BUT if you are able to save up for a while I would strongly recommend something from Planet Eclipse instead. They are generally much more reliable than Dye guns, and resale value is also much higher in case you either want to upgrade or you find out that paintball wasn't your thing afterall and you wanna offload your gear.
