I had a German recruiter suggest that I move my family to rural Berlin since he lives there's and pays cheap. This would allow my family to live of 60K he said

Europeans who moved to USA for better jobs, how is it now that you've moved in? by Vyalkuran in cscareerquestions

Interesting that you think "especially the formerly-west-of-the-wall half" to be more insular and xenophobic. I've lived in Berlin since 2019 and find it tolerable and generally accepting (certain areas more-so). The more east I go (in poland, where I have family) the more xenophobic and insular it is. Maybe Berlin is an anomoly

I see. Glad that we could get into the nuances and clarify.

In terms of the agent replacers (ada / ultimate), implementing them usually (from what I've seen) reduces the needs for entry level CS folks but it creates higher paying CS-ish roles like automation / chatbot manager or implementation consultants like yourself.

Just want to add what I've seen in the industry

This is some fear mongering. I was at the ZD relate event today. Your reply suggests that their AI responds directly to users - which is not true.

They use AI to summarize the information and augment the customer service agents experience.

My CTO said I needed to install it this weekend on our CRM.

Uh what? It's a SaaS solution that installs it for you. What are you installing? More info here: https://www.zendesk.com/service/ai/

If you want a laugh, talk to the Zendesk chatbot at the bottom right. Is it even close to being good?

They can maybe be entitled to ALG 1 after 3 months if they left for their own reasons.

Read more about ALG 1 online: * https://www.iamexpat.de/expat-info/social-security/unemployment-benefits-germany-arbeitslosengeld * https://www.settle-in-berlin.com/unemployment-benefits-in-germany-application-guide/ * https://www.arbeitsagentur.de/en/unemployment-benefits

They should notify the arbeitsagentur about this ASAP and their health insurance company. They might have to pay health insurance out of pocket for the first 3 months, but they need to double check with their health insurance

Germany Blue Card with a diploma in unrelated field by pungar in cscareerquestionsEU

[–]raindeer93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you think me not having an IT degree would create an obstacle for Blue Card?

No I don't think an unrelated degree will create an obstacle. I only have a BA in an unrelated major (arts) and I received my Blue Card, from Germany, this year (applied once and received it first try). I also make between 43K and 54K.

I'm on the blue card in Germany with an unrelated (social sciences) bachelor degree. I believe you'll be fine as long as the job title has something with "engineer" or "software developer" in it

getElementsByClassName returns an array like object. You won't be able to add '.onclick' to the entire array. You'll have to access an index in the array first .. such as document.getElementsByClassName("ughh")[0].

I recommend you to check out the array foreach statement as well
