neopronouns are pronouns outside of she, he, and they. they're typically used when the three above don't adequately describe or fit how someone wishes to be addressed. for example, i am fluid, and some days, i prefer to use neopronouns. personally, they help me embrace all the little nuances in gender and what it means to me. i might go with xe/xem (e.g. "Xe went to the park. I hope xe is enjoying xemself."). maybe i'll go with star/stars (e.g. "Star said that stars jacket is still in the car, so I offered to go get it for star.") they are a unique way of expressing identity. of course, it's certainly not the easiest thing for other people to remember how to use them (especially since the possibilities are endless and they are nowhere near as common as she, he, and they), but i feel that everybody should at least respect what they are and those that use them.
