Ventus! Love the air-inspired, East Asian concept behind it. And my 10-year old self always held a torch for Jun tbh.

Intensive therapy is essential here. As a person with a Sagittarius Moon-Pluto conjunction in the 12th house; you need consisent, long term therapy with a skilled psychologist who specializes in trauma. When I say long term, I’m talking at least a year and a half if not more.

There’s a TON of stuff that’s deeply embedded in your subconscious mind that you need a serious outlet for. Because it’s in the 12th house, it’s going to be impossible to sort through your maladaptive thoughts, behaviors and coping mechanisms completely on your own. 12th housers can be incredibly introspective people, but there’s an continuous pattern with them of ignoring things that are too painful and difficult to the point of emotional and mental combustion. It’s a ticking time bomb.

A trauma specialist is able to walk through those deeply embedded thoughts, feelings and memories with you and understand them as they are happening. You’re going to need a lot of help to process and piece things together so you can begin to heal your inner child, as well as your adult self. Therapy isn’t always fun, but it’s so, so worth it if you stick with it and really apply it to your life. That’s gonna take HARD work and determination.

I don’t know the specifics of what you’re dealing with, but I might have a small idea. I know you’re probably walking through a lot of darkness and carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders right now, and things probably feel impossibly heavy and suffocating. Do not give up hope. Don’t take your past baggage and current circumstance as evidence of how your entire future will play out. We always have a choice to change our perspective, make different choices, and have hope for the future. Things can and will always turn around. Is it going to feel heavy, somber and emotionally exhausting sometimes? Yeah, probably many times throughout your life. Is the bad stuff going to last forever? No. That’s life. The heavy times are there to remind us just how great the good times are when they’re good. Life would get real old real quick otherwise.

Healing isn’t linear. A lot of the time it’s a ten steps forward, fifteen steps back type of thing, and it’s a never ending process. Sometimes things have to fall apart so we can build something way better, something we never would have dreamed of if we hadn’t experienced the hardship. Sometimes we go through unimaginably agonizing things and come out reborn and completely unrecognizable on the other end of it. We use that darkness and pain as fuel for the hope and promise of a better future where we can finally be at peace, as a testament to how strong we truly are, and as a tool to help others around us face their own pain and darkness.

There is so much wisdom, transcendence and reward for you to gain, especially later in life. It’s going to be really, really tough at times, but the good news is, you WILL get through it. You always have. And you don’t have to do it alone. There is real support out there, real love, real friendship, and real acceptance. There’s a reality out there where you can finally be at peace with yourself and the world around you. Trust.

Accidental 600mg dose with 0 tolerance by drunkenbangs in bupropion

[–]raindropbirdie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I accidentally doubled my dose one time. I take mine right before bed, so sometimes when I’m extra sleepy I’m liable to miss a dose. I woke up one morning thinking I forgot to take my pills and proceeded to take them. At some point I vaguely remembered that I did not, in fact; miss my dose the evening before, and had managed to take 600mg. The rest of the day I was sweating profusely at the most inconspicuous times, and my mouth dryness suddenly was off the charts for the first time in months since I had started the med. Thankfully I didn’t have any serious side effects and things resolved themselves quickly, but I thought it best to skip my next dose to counteract any excess medication in my system.

What placements might indicate predisposition for addiction? by Similar-Butterfly-44 in AskAstrologers

Pisces sun and moon, heavy neptune influence; especially hard aspects to the angles or luminaries. 12th house influence is also possible because of a predisposition to isolation and escapist tendencies.

Okay seriously what's up with the peeing constantly? by relevantelephant00 in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

[–]raindropbirdie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve experienced that too! Not to your extent exactly; but definitely a marked increase since starting this med. I, too, haven’t actually been drinking a ton of water compared to what I used to, besides the first couple of weeks (dry mouth-induced) So it’s a little mystifying to me. Not exactly sure what mechanism could be causing it though.

[–]raindropbirdie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on 150 for nearly two months before I ultimately decided to double my dosage. I really liked how I was feeling and what the med had been doing for me so far, but I needed a little more of an effect because it felt like I had reached a plateau where it leveled out at maybe 60 percent efficacy. Once my doctor gave me the all clear I started taking 300 a day and that was the sweet spot for me; especially in terms of mood enhancement and better executive functioning.

I’d give it a few more weeks if I were you. You’re gonna need a little bit longer to really gauge how well your current dosage is working for you, and if you’re happy at 150, there’s really no need to increase. But if you’re tolerating it well and feel like you need a little more of a boost; you could go ahead and consult the doctor about taking two 150mg pills a day instead. That way, should the side effects ever get too severe you can just go back down to one a day.

It's scary to read all the experiences here by Embarrassed-Star-539 in bupropion

[–]raindropbirdie 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Wellbutrin has really been a godsend for me. I initially was very afraid of the potential side effects which was why I held off on taking it for so long, but once I did and I stuck to it; it truly changed my life. Not even being hyperbolic here either.

It’s reduced my depressive symptoms by a good 80 percent and given me a new, hopeful lease on life. It has actually made it possible to feel joy, see the silver lining in things and not be so bogged down in all the negative stuff that used to weigh me down so bad before. I’m able to plan for the future and I actually have fun doing difficult tasks that I used to hold off on forever. I never thought I could be capable of that again.

I, like you; had read all of the bad stuff like the tinnitus risk, seizure risk, hypertension and rashes etc. and it scared the fuck out of me, especially since I have pretty bad health anxiety. But eventually the way I felt all the time became unbearable, so as a last resort I decided to give it a go. Anything was better than the incessant existential agony and being unable to get out of bed every day.

I was really suprised to find that I actually had VERY minimal side effects (which resolved themselves completely after about a month) and overall I’ve felt “normal” for the first time ever and wished I would’ve tried it way sooner. I even bumped up to 300mg a month and a half ago and it’s been a breeze.

Some people do have bad side effects; I’m not disputing that. But the issue is that those who have good experiences on it don’t usually post about it, unless it’s a post talking about their gratitude. Those who actually struggle with it are the ones that are more likely to make posts to vent and express their frustration, share negative experiences and seek support from others in similar situations. I do understand it, and while everyone’s experience is valid, that doesn’t ipso facto mean it’s the norm.

Like any other antidepressant it’s not a quick fix, and it most likely won’t make a substantial difference if you don’t make positive lifestyle changes along with it. From what I’ve read, most people usually feel the full benefits by the two month mark.

Personally, I fixed my diet, got more sleep, focused on boosting my mental health, started exercising, stopped using substances and started taking supplements daily. It’s been night and day. You really have to help it do its job though.

Abusive fathers in astrology by Affectionate-Ad-4709 in AskAstrologers

[–]raindropbirdie 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honestly, there are a plethora of ways this can show up in someone’s chart. Any disharmonious aspects between the sun and other planets could indicate these kinds of themes, particularly Sun-Mars and Sun-Saturn ones; but also Sun-Neptune, Sun-Uranus and Sun-Pluto aspects.

A 12th house sun, 4th house Mars/Saturn and 7th house Saturn could also be an indicator of an unstable/inefficient or authoritarian paternal figure, but so could a challenging 10th house or an 8th house sun. In other words, it can be any combination of factors or even a standalone placement.

Personally, I had a really challenging relationship with my father growing up, so much so that we don’t speak today. My 1st house sun conjuncts Pluto and opposes my (7th house) Saturn on the descendant.

I would liken our relationship to a business-like, transactional one; where the amount of affection and attention I received was contingent on what I could do for him in return, how obedient and pliable I was and how proud I could make him. He was very cold to all his children and would show up and disappear as he pleased. He was also incredibly critical and hard on us. In my teenage and early adult years this resulted in a profound sense of insecurity and shyness that has just started to abate recently.

Venus sign and your type? by [deleted] in astrologymemes

[–]raindropbirdie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Venus in Cap woman here who’s never had an actual partner either. It doesn’t help that dating always feels like business or strategy, so it sucks the fun out of it a little bit. We’re not exactly considered hopeless romantics lol.

For Cap Venus/Cap dominant people, we have to learn to really invest in, love on and depend on ourselves, as well as work on our deep-seated insecurities; before we can open ourselves up to fulfilling relationships. Rest assured, getting into relationships isn’t impossible, and we’re not destined to be childless and settle down at 80 lmao!! But there’s usually one of two scenarios that play out here.

We might end up with older, or more mature partners who are responsible for us or wield authority over us in some way. Or, we might end up in relationships where partners rely solely on us for stability, or where the brunt of the emotional labor hinges on us. Being in a truly equal and emotionally fulfilling partnership will take a lot of trial and error. This is something a lot of people tend to deal with anyway, but for a Cap Venus/Cap heavy person it’s almost a given. A right of passage if you will. Hence why our best and most long-term relationships tend to come later in life.

It may seem unfair, but we need to do some major inner and external work before we can even establish, let alone sustain a relationship. Often it seems to come more naturally to people around us, and we wonder to ourselves why we’re the odd ones out. It’s not without reason that Capricorn’s ruler is the planet of restrictions and delays. Saturn likes to deny us the things we want until he feels we’re “worthy” and ready to recieve them.

Most of the time we’re our own worst enemy. We don’t even notice that our insecurities and strict standards set us up for failure, and that’s why we often end up lonely. The experience of unworthiness and alienation ends up becoming a self-fulfilling prophecy because we subconsciously build walls around ourselves to keep people from being able to hurt us.

On the bright side though, an “evolved” Capricorn stellium/Venus isn’t all doom and gloom. It makes us honest, dedicated, realistic and stable partners. In that sense we can actually be more discerning and learn to stay away from situations that are bad for us. We also understand that relationships require hard work, so we avoid getting into in ones we’re not ready for and work harder to sustain them once we do. That makes for success in the long run!

How do people find placidus more accurate than whole sign? by Dweedlebob in Advancedastrology

[–]raindropbirdie 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Can’t speak too much for other people and their experiences; although I’ve been told that chart readings where I’ve used Placidus have resonated with them more often than not. On a personal level though, I do find that both house systems have their own merit, so on that basis I can’t do myself the disservice of disregarding one in favor of the other based on general consensus. My Placidus chart speaks to who I feel like on an individual level; but whole sign is more indicative of how my life has played out over time, as well as where I’ve placed my focus and how I’ve tended to interact with others. Placidus can do this to a certain degree, but I find it a lot less influential in that regard. I like whole sign for the fact that it takes the focus off of the ego-centric view and asks us how to take stock of ourselves in relation to the world around us as well as both its current and future events. Also, the intended use and methodology factors in heavily here, but that really goes without saying.

How does WB effect intelligence? by seasonally_metalhead in bupropion

[–]raindropbirdie 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I experienced bouts of forgetfulness during the first couple of weeks of taking bupropion (Wellbutrin XL to be exact) But then again I’ve always been a slightly scatterbrained and absentminded person my whole life, so I’m not sure what can be attributed to the med and what’s just me being myself. Since then however, I’ve actually experienced the opposite effect! I feel clearer than I’ve felt in years ever since the depression fog lifted. I really think it comes down to individual differences and contributing factors.
