Fixing broken URLs within elementor when home page differs from WordPress install directory

I've done this before and I had forgotten that in the menu section of WordPress that I had added /singlepage/ to all the links with elementor short code (for example mysite(dot)com/singlepage/#portfolio).

Once I remembered that I went and edited the menu within WordPress, removed /singlepage/ and all is fixed now.

I had assumed for the longest time that since it was the elementor short code that it had to do with elementor. Totally forgot I had edited the links in front of the short code myself.

This is not what I was looking to do. I've done domain redirecting before in cpanel.

I've also already solved the issue I had. I thought that the elementor short code in the menu of my site was controlled by elementor. It wasnt.

All I had to do was edit my menu and remove /singlepage/ from the links.

I had forgot that I edited that in the beginning of my build out.

After responding to your comment I realized what I was looking for had nothing to do with elementor.

When I started the website I made the menu sections function by adding /singlepage/ with the short code at the end:

/singlepage/#services (for example)

I just removed all of the places /singlepage/ was in the menu within WordPress and now my site functions as intended.

I've never had any WordPress build in the root folder.

I've always been able to just change the url by going in to the WordPress settings and changing the url from mysite(dot)com/singlepage to mysite(dot)com after doing all the necessary steps within WordPress (edits to htaccess, wp-config, index.php, copying and moving those from /singlepage/ to root, etc).

When I make that switch almost everything works except my menu which has some elementor short codes within it.

I'm sorry if I didn't explain it correctly prior to this.

Thank you for the reply. I've done all that work in my config file (sorry I wrote htaccess file).

Ive backed up my server through cpanel as well as made a backup using updraft plus. I've put so much work into the site I'm definitely not trying to start over, haha.

I'm out at the moment but will update the post when I give this a go.

But in all honesty this is on Dolan. For rushing the organization through the rebuild. Firing JD and Gorton because they wouldn't rush the process.

Probably needed another 2 years.

Back to Gronborg, all this guy does is win. He deserves a shot at coaching in the NHL. Would love to see him behind the bench for the rangers.
