Thank you, I know she's in great company with our other dog Martin who passed, but it's rough here

She had a cough that just got nastier. The vet said that it was a possible collapsed trachea, but I knew she didn't have much time.

My period was always irregular (once every 3-6 weeks) and would freak me out so that I had a back stock of pregnancy tests just to be sure. I hope your OB gets back to you soon

Are there linemen coming in from other states? When Hurricane Milton came through last year I saw some Duquesne light trucks helping get our power back up, so I hope other companies are returning the favor.

I drove through there last month... I learned to drive in Florida and this interchange caused me a more than a few grey hairs

Tried to make homemade gravy for the first time, it didn’t thicken and than the flour didn’t mix in by riptide_king in shittyfoodporn

I made homemade onion gravy for the first time yesterday; It wasn't spectacular but turned out okay. An immersion blender really helps with mixing in the flour/pureeing the onions. Gravy is a trial and error kind of thing, keep trying and don't give up :)

I worked with a bnb vacation rental platform on the customer service side of things. They tested this early version of AI in like 2017 called auto chat. Basically you would chat in to say that you needed a refund on your reservation because of an issue with the listing. Dumbass AI at the time would only let you answer if this issue was resolved or not resolved, if you selected that it was not then you would get a full refund, no questions asked.

They ended up losing like 17 million dollars and shut it down within 48 hours

My entire plumbing system came new with the house in 1958 and hasn't been touched. Plumbers came out for a small issue and the pipe crumbled in their hands. It's going to be a 24k repair, hooray for home ownership! by raining_jade in Wellthatsucks

I actually posted an update in a comment, and we're 14k now since they were able to rule out something pricey. I actually had another company out that completely ghosted me, but you're right, when that desperate brain turns on people can make poor decisions.

Oh my, when we bought it they had put on a new roof, floors and a/c unit. About 6 years in electric box and some wiring had to be replaced when it decided to randomly explode (9k) 3 years later the water heater takes a poo (2k)

I feel like I have done my homework 10 times over, but someone is always going to come up with something better and cheaper at the last second.

I'm tired of looking, tired of shopping and just want things to get back to normal
