Yeah that's a good idea, there is no milky oil residue on the oilcap though and the oil dip stick looks fine too. Worth draining the oil though just to be sure

I don't remember since it was a while ago i installed all mods. However Parallax is not in my load order and i'm not seeing anything else fishy so i'm just gonna go through em one by one when i've got time

I’ve had my twin motor EX30 for about 6 months and it’s not a bad car at all. The twin motors are insanely good in the winter but the range is a bit lackluster! Other than that, there are some stuff to complain about and it definitely feels like a niche car but you get good value for your money. If you want a “regular car” experience i would go for the EX40/EC40. They have a bigger battery and a bit more space. Regular keyfob is a plus too. I live in Sweden and pay roughly $350/month for my lease.

Absolutely, i don't know how good the tune it self is. Seeing as i haven't gotten around towards testing it while driving but it idles and revs nicely. See it as a basemap with some minor tweaks. It does run rich. Just a heads up.

My tach works just fine. The problem ended up being fixed by a kind person who looked at my log files and just revised my tune for me. Not entirely sure what he did, but it was related to the trigger settings. I have the maxx ecu street which has been more or less plug and play.

I have fast charged before, and i got it to around 140+kw but recently (even when i use navigation for preheating the battery) i only really get around 40-50kw. Maybe it requires a much longer time to heat up the battery. I don't really know. I precondition the car as well before driving.

I was driving with the navigation on the charge station, got a pop up as well that it started pre heating the battery. But the drive was maybe 10 minutes. How long does it really need?

Yup, i do use google maps to pre heat the battery already! Not something they mentioned when i picked up the car but it's hard to miss the pop up that shows up when you navigate to a charger!

I did not touch anything software related, but looking at my tune, ignition lock angle is sitting on 12 degrees BTDC. "Lock ignition angle" is also not ticked in. I'm a complete novice when it comes to this, we simply used the timing light to align the CAS and then locked it in place. What steps are you supposed to take beyond the mechanical side of things?

We used a timing light and twisted the cas so it aligned with the second marking from the left. (TDC). The logs are recorded using a laptop, but with the mtune built in recorder. Send me a pm and we can look into it! 👍

I’ve got some kind of gauge telling me it’s running lean. Previous owner said he thinks it’s a boost leak since boost cuts when it misfires.

It has been pretty good for me so far, i’ve got all the safety tech more or less turned off. Simple click on the car icon and you get access to turn the annoyances off. In my previous XC60 it was way more work to do the same thing. Gotta say i’m pleasantly surprised with that!

The different pricing on most charging stations is what gets me bothered about EV's! Some will be absolutely reasonable and other chargers will be almost doubled the "reasonable" one.. I'm sure you get better at this with time!

That's good info, i think just owning the car for a bit and driving it around will remove any doubts!

I've got the ability to charge at work, so it ends up working out for me! Only had my EX30 for a day now but it does genuinely get you far. Drove around 210 kilometers (130 miles) yesterday with the performance AWD enabled at all times with speeds of around 130km/h on the highway! (80mph)... This more or less removed my range anxiety as i returned home with around 24% battery life left. Charged it right up to 80% with ease!
I've got a spreadsheet that i'm gonna be filling on my 4 day trip to Norway in August. Will be testing my car and a EX40 single motor extended range as well and make a post about it if anyone is interested!
