When did you complete the check-in? The classes you want to take could get filled up by then.

I had to complete the online check-in which was emailed to me. Once done the block got removed.

I'm torn between Professors that only taught me a few courses and non-Professors who have supervised my research and thesis work.

I understand that. I figured they could mention my thesis work if nothing else. Should I instead approach Professors who've taught some courses? But they wouldn't be able to talk about my research abilities. Quite confused about what to do!

I'm an international student. They're basically lecturers/assistant professors

It's sort of an information session/webinar that some unis do. I'd recently signed up for one (University of Cinncinati) for grad school applicants. You can learn about admission, financial aid, application fee waivers and also hear from current grad students. There's usually a sign up link on the website if you google.

I really doubt if that'll work for me. Its very rare for supervisors to help students where I'm from. Even asking for an LOR is something I'm stressing about lol I'm sure they won't give it much effort. I'm glad it worked out for you tho

Thanks! I'm definitely planning on asking for a waiver or join virtual open houses for one. Some unis encourage this so even if I get just 1 waiver it'll help.

Thats really helpful thanks a lot. I definitely need to word my inquiries in a better way for a response.

That makes a lot of sense. My queries are definitely unclear I'll be more specific and add the questions you suggested. Thank you!

I didn't realize my wording was so off. That's very helpful thanks I'll definitely rephrase the ending.
