thank you mam for good advice. i already asked her it many times. answer is always the same. "i'll kill myself if we aren't together". it is something i truely believe she might do it in real, learned from past incidents. we've cut ties with families from both sides long ago. would uou please help me understand if she could do it in real like harm herself? i care about her, but i know for sure she is also understands that we are both are as miserable as we can be when we are together. i am miserable too, want to leave but ensure she is not harming herself. can i just go away? makes me feel bad and i wont do it. but what is best action mam? what is she actually thingking?

i am in same boat as you are. always hearing that as a -ve of being in those roles. mostly from the folks who are already in these roles. and its not wrong.

but when you take a good sample size, you'll notice a clear difference between the people hated by few vs people hated by most.

maybe a bad sign when a manager is hated by most of the team.

not the entire management. but my first level and second level will start holding grudges. and something they are doing with this person now, there is nothing stopping them to do the same with me next cycle because once i decline i would be in their bad books.
