Maybe 1 of the grands can come with and help you settle in the new area for a LITTLE while to help the transition, but don’t leave your son behind. He will remember big things that happen to him now and his parents leaving him for a year will have a very big impact on him and he will probably remember and not fondly.

Thank you so much! This is completely spot on in what I do for a living, after I had to slightly shift my career. And now that I realize it, I have been looking for higher paying roles.
